Good when walking the Camino
Reviewed By JCom_OsloWe had one room for three adults walking the Camino Frances: Good and quiet localisation. The room was big with good light. The beds were comfortable. The breakfast was minimalistic. Altogether very recommendable.

Alda Palencia Plaza (formerly Alda Backpackers) is a hostel located in the center of Palencia, just five minutes walk from the Plaza Mayor and 10 minutes from the cathedral. We've double rooms with the possibility of extra beds and cots, all fully equipped with private bathroom inside the room with bath or shower, flat screen TV, heating and air conditioning.
Simple, central and great value!
Reviewed By Steve SSpacious 2nd floor double bed room with A/C and double windows which kept out the plaza noise. They moved us after 1st night because our room was over the sidewalk recycling bins and they were emptied at 3am and 4am, but after that, no problems. Friendly attendant who showed us bike parking in garage, efficient cleaning, simple and tasty cafe downstairs where we ate affordable breakfast tortillas with coffee and juice or toast. Perfect for us and we'd stay here again.

Good when walking the Camino
Reviewed By JCom_OsloWe had one room for three adults walking the Camino Frances: Good localisation. A big room. Air conditioning didn't work. The room may be warm in summer. Very good breakfast. Priceworthy and recommendable when walking the Camino.

Nice locstion
Reviewed By NickKhobarThis small hotel is comfortable and very reasonably priced. The breakfast and free WiFi were included. It is a minute way away from the centre of the small, historical centre of town. We parked our motorcycle right outside and felt quite safe doing so. Plenty of places to eat nearby. Right at the foot of the mountains. Friendly owner. Good coffee.

Unbelievable Service!!
Reviewed By HayleyFWFirstly, the food is incredible. True Italian done properly and generously. Bruno and the staff were so caring. I accidently forgot 40 euros on my departure and they actually took the time to find me hours later walk g te trail and return it!! It's an oasis, garden out the back with a footbath and wonderful wonderful people. Also, Bruno looks like Luke Skywalker which is always a plus.

Welcoming oasis!
Reviewed By derek49On a miserable night in March, a warm welcome! Although nothing outstanding from the outside, the Penalabra is lovely. Very decent spotless room, friendly owners, good price (44 euros for double, breakfast 5 euros each) We missed the evening meal as we thought the dining room was closed - we went out too early. It transpires it's about the best restaurant in Cervera. Curses! But the breakfast was excellent - fresh bread, fruit, cake (a home-made apple cake) and lots of coffee.

Reviewed By dorothyb851Gabrial was so kind dried my socks took me tea to my bed drove me and a friend to the Farmacia to sort our very badly blistered feet ! . He is also a wonderful artist and has a small gallery next door where he sells his and other artists work. I bought a beautiful necklace made with red sparkly stones in the shape of stars of various sizes it is quite unique and a wonderful reminder of a lovely man.

Relax, unwind and fully enjoy Herrera de Pisuerga! This is located in the town of Herrera de Pisuerga, north of the province of Palencia. It is set in a unique renovated building in the old square of cattle, within the village, next to the bus station and bar, and the Archaeological Hall. Room has en-suite bathroom. Here we have opted for energy efficiency, pellet heating is, and hot water is by solar panels and batteries. This is the favorite accommodation for those looking for an affordable, comfortable, quiet and clean place.

Entorno maravilloso y servicio excelente
Reviewed By MiguelP_11Nos sorprendió muy gratamante este lugar, apartado de las grandes urbes y enclavado en medio del bosque con una infraestructura y unas instalaciones dignas de los mejores lugares. Ideal para dar paseos y caminar por las montañas y los bosques descubriendo nuevos paisajes. Desde el mismo hotel puedes salir ya a caminar por el pinar que lo rodea o acercarte al rio o el embalse; hay para todas las edades y en las cercanías también tienes rutas exigentes. Las habitaciones y las instalaciones en general, muy, muy limpias. La atención del personal exquisita y las precauciones frente al covid cumplidas a rajatabla. En el restaurante se come muy bien y los desayunos son generosos. Solo queda apuntárselo en la agenda de lugares a los que volver en otras épocas del año porque a buen seguro que seguirá sorprendiendo.
