Cosy friendly atmosphere. Lovely restaurant in this quaint and pittoresque mountain village Aggius. Very friendly staff. But most importantly the pizza's are overwhelmingly nice. Beautifully prepared with the finest ingredients. The local deserts are heavenly. Even the house wine is superb. We will be visiting again soon.

One of the most enjoying aspects of your holiday will be the chance to explore the rich culinari history of the Mediterranean cuisine. Eating in Sardinia means a wealth of strong local traditions, family affairs and plates of typical Sardinian cuisine in
We ate in the restaurant once, had a takeaway pizza from there, and visited multiple times for ice creams. Food was good and staff were excellent and friendly. Most visits we were given a little extra, like some foccaccia while we waited for takeaway pizza. Set in nice gardens.

Nice food and service, but we paid 100 Euro for 2 people which is really very expensif for Italy!!! But the place is clean, staff is nice, food is good.

This little spot is pretty unassuming, but we got great, individualized service from our waiter, Fausto, who served us on multiple occasions and always catered to our every need. The salads are pretty underwhelming, but fish was very good (and neatly fileted table-side by Fausto), fried calamari tasty and fresh. The view is lovely, directly overlooking the sandy beach and prices were average for this kind of spot.

We love this restaurant! We were here four times during our week stay in Portobello (5th time to Sardinia) - and can't say enough positive things. Excellent food, warm & genuine staff, beautiful location, great pizza, fresh fish, superb house wine, etc, etc. We'll be back!

We were originally going to try and find Ristorante Taverna De Tommy however as another review has said, we couldn't find it either! We followed a sign towards a no through road and did not find anything at the end.Il Girasole on the other hand was well signposted and easy to find. It is a large building and looks very nice from the outside. The space inside however, is quite odd. It is a large circular room with a high ceiling, and the tables are laid across the whole space. In one corner is a bar and across the other side there is a counter for paying and a serving hatch which is open into the kitchen. They seemed to offer takeaway pizza too, from what we could gather. The lighting is very bright, and because the space is so open it unfortunately lends itself to a sort of community-centre-cum-canteen style feel. There are no partition walls or nooks and crannies with soft lighting that could give the place a more intimate feel. There were locals eating in there, including some big parties.I very much enjoyed my salmone pasta dish, however my husband was not so keen on his pizza. It seemed to be a pizza base topped with mozzarella (apparently minimal tomato though) and then it had some rocket salad and prosciutto tossed over the top. I actually thought it looked really nice, however my husband's verdict was that it was like eating cheese on toast with salad on the top. Service was average and the price was pretty reasonable, but I don't think we'd go back owing to the slightly weird atmosphere.

Visited this restaurant twice in three days, as there was a music festival taking place during that time. We had pizza on our first visit which was really good. Second time I had grilled fish, and my husband had spaghetti alle vongole. Both dishes were also really delicious. Very friendly staff, swift service and a delightful terrace where we ate. Washrooms were very clean and tidy. Will definitely return sometime.

Very simple but great Pizzeria! You can order a fantastic pizza, where you say wich toppings you want, or just let the owner choose. There are 3 tables to sit and eat your pizza out of the take-away box. The pizza's are delicious! The wood fired oven and the chef's skills combine in delicious pizza's! Definately worth the short trip to Aglientu if you are staying at Vignola Mare! No romantic dining, but the best pizza in the area!

We spent the morning at Rena Maiore and were looking for somewhere for lunch. This was the perfect spot. Our children had ravioli with ricotta and spinach, my husband had spaghetti with clams and I had grilled squid and a mixed salad. All was delicious and for just under â¬50. Very child friendly too. Definitely recommend if you're looking for somewhere near the beach (it's in Rena Maiore village, just a bit further up the road from the beach).

We lunched in the restaurant on our way south. A vey nice place at the beach. And for long: people who understand what making contact is. The food was good, but as we had lunch, difficult to judge what the cooks are really capable off. We enjoyed it a lot! Thank you Ernst. We really appreciate your words.Hope to see you again.GreatsDario
