Small Restaurant very cozy with all comforts, the Chef in person takes care of selecting the best local produce for its cuisine. In addition deals with advise clients in their choice.
This is a family-run business and it won't fail to please your hunger and your desire to look for genuine local products. The chef came out of the kitchen to tell us the specials of the day, we had some antipasti (prosciutto, sausage, Sardinian pizza, chicory, goat cheese) that had already filled us up and then culurgiones ( local dish, some sort of ravioli typical of Sardegna) with three different sausage: bottarga, goat ragu and mushrooms. Oh. My. God. Delicious!!! All accompanied by a fabulous red wine of the house, a fresh Cannonau. Lovely restaurant, I would most definitely recommend it to everybody!

Driving on the SS125 highway from the east coast to the south we wondered where we should go for lunch. In the neighbourhood of Tertenia we saw a road sign for a restaurant. So we thought we will give it a try. We came on a small road that after about 100 m. run into a sand road. Okay, were does this end? Continue driving uphill we finally saw a big house with fresh colored blue tables and chairs on a Terrace. Only 1 car on the parking. It looked like there was nobody. But when one of us walked to the door, a young lady came out and we asked if we could have something to eat for lunch. And yes we could. We where the only guests but it did not seem to be a problem. A friendly man set the table and we ordered just a simple plate of pasta together with a green salad, some bread and of course a glass of wine and a bottle of water. We do not remember the name of the plate, but it was delightful. We did not pay a lot for this wonderful lunch. When we wanted to leave the restaurant the man invited us in to the kitchen to see what dish the lady's were making for diner. They made stuffed pasta at the time and it looked very good. We said goodbye and felt sorry for ourselves knowing we should be to far away at diner time to go back there. This was a wonderful experience. So, if you are in the neighbourhood of Tertenia don't hesitate to drive on the sand road uphill to Agriturismo Cirra!

We were advised by the reception clerk at the hotel to make Reservations. We did not. When we arrived for dinner at 7:30, early for this place, the Maitre D' and his staff gave us one of those instant reflex "How can you be so rude" looks. But as instantaeously as that happened the Sardinian politnees prevailed and we were seated comfortably.
I had the Spaghetti alle vongole veraci aglio olio e peperoncino fresco. Delish! My wife had the Linguine ale mazzancolle leggermente piccanti con pomodori basilico e crumble di pane. She found it a bit too spicy but liked it! The presentation was novel, warmed oval metal turines with handles on white plates. Each pasta dish had the noodles in 2 nests. Nice! We experimented with the wine ordering glasses of Ierzu Ruserva, full bodied, and Camalda, not as string but very good. The insalata mista was as typical as we've found through Italy. Nothing to write home about.

Nicely located just minutes away from the wonderful Portu Frailis beach and the Arbatax harbour, Le Terrazze has become a key venue for those who enjoy the best food in Ogliastra. You can savour the tastiest Sardinian and Italian recipes thanks to the creativity and vision of our chef and our warm, welcoming staff.
This restaurant is totally overrated in TripAdvisor!!My octopus was not cooked long enough, the meat of my children was like in a cantine. The ambience was old fashioned.Bitty that one can not really count on these critics here.We have been eating out for 4 weeks in this area and LeTerrazze was the worst experience

Immersed in the Mediterranean maquis , surrounded by vineyards and olive groves, the Abba restaurant and Murta welcomes its guests in a simple and elegante.Le large rooms inside and the outside Terrace of the restaurant , it is the ideal place to savor , in a magical setting , a menu in which the simplicity of Mediterranean cuisine and creativity of the chefs combine to create an unforgettable combination .
Just to warn you about the restaurant there. It SEEMS nice but the service is below ANY standard. We made a reservation (a table with a view) and arrived, as we told the place, with two small children. Nobody welcomed us or showed the table for about 10 mins. Finally we did get a table but without any view and just next to speakers of the (bad) local musician there. After some time we had to ask for another table as our baby woke up.
No food as served for at least 1 and half hour. Our older boy was very hungry. At 10 pm (or about), we had enough and left hungry (still no food). The evening was a disaster.

La Capannina is a special and amazing restaurant located in front of the beach between the sea and a pond. It's a wonderful place! Fresh fish is cooked in according of Sardinian tradition. Great and imaginative appetizers, pasta with mussels, shrimps, cuttlefish...!! Always generous portions! Sardinia is not only wonderful sea but also great food! Congratulations!

An exemplary restaurant, with splendid view over the bay, which manages to deliciously blend the extraordinary flavours of Sardinian cuisine into creative dishes which are the fruit of a careful selection made from the available local products. For lunch, during the summer months, you may find tasty and friendly refreshment at the Terrace bar, which offers anything from simple salads to more elaborate fish-based dishes, and the one thousand different flavours of our original "pantofole" ('slippers').
The restaurant is part of the hotel, the windows all open up and all tables have a great view of the sea, bay, beach. It's quite a posh resto so dress is casual smart. We went for a special family event, although the service was attentive it was a bit jaded, the food was disappointing ... it was okay but expected much better. Otherwise a lovely place to dine. The outdoor Terrace for pre meal drinks at sunset is a good bonus! Prices on the high-end side. Good for romantic couples, and they can cater well for groups too.

Went here following the trip advisor reviews. After a long drive up windy mountain roads were surprised to see such a huge restaurant. Had a nice dinner: pasta, pizza and some boar meat. And for desert a nice Tiramisu. We were surprised to have a...MoreThank you for the kind words, glad you have satisfied your needs, we hope to meet again and we wish you happy holidays.

TripAdvisor managers should consider the possibility to assign 6 stars sometimes...this dinner was simply perfect. The experience started with finding the location: a nicely local style 1930 country house with restaurant and 3 rooms in the middle of an eucaliptus Australian like area close to dry rivers to be crossed. Then you can see the animals used for the food: everything is home grown and coked from the flour to the meat to the wine etc. DON'T SHOW THE YOUNG PIGS TO CHILDREN'S AND THEN PRETEND THEY EAT IT. ..please.
The service is delightful and the quantity is double then you can expect: be prepared to get your doggy pack. Cannonau wine top level. The 28 euro price is fix and includes an amazing appetiser, 2 first courses, 2second courses, salads and 2 desserts. Wine, water and spirits are included too. ENJOY!

Food is well prepared with many local dishes, nice touches of local cheeses and cold cuts also very interesting. Place will fill up, so be prepared to wait if you didn't book ahead. Service was also quite quick and staff very friendly.
