We came as part of a group and the waiter/manager approached me after we'd sat down where indicated and shouted "MOVE'.......'you CANNOT sit there MOVE'. He was so rude and was inhospitable, an encounter we didn't have anywhere else on Ischia, Capri or Sorrento. I moved after saying there was no sign to say that the table was reserved and shortly afterwards a reserved sign was brought! The second waiter who came to take the order was hardly deigning to listen, rolling eyes and looking totally bored! The whole episode was so appalling I'm laughing thinking back to that awful lunchtime.My husband felt we'd been so badly treated that we would be foolish to stay and encourage more of the same. We left and went to a nice gelateria nearby with delicious ice cream.Because I'd complained to our team leader this bully boy explained that in fact he wasn't shouting at me but one of the waitresses (poor girl was called 'dopey' by him)! We both knew this wasn't true and was an attempt by him to retain the business of the tour company.I find it hard to believe the high rating of this place considering the amount of bad reviews and would encourage anybody reading this to visit any other establishment as I'm sure you will encounter a nicer atmosphere.

On our last night in beautiful Ischia we ate in this restaurant as we were staying in the hotel. And what a meal we had. Fantastic presentation, fantastic service, fantastic food and wine. A well deresrved Michelin star restaurant. Although a little pricey I would highly recommend it for a special occasion.Dear surveyor1205,thank you very much for your fantastic words!Hope to see you again soon.Warm regards

The view is what makes this restaurant -- as well as the service, which is excellent. While the food was well prepared, it wasn't out of the ordinary. But it was plentiful and tasty. And the restaurant was the perfect location to enjoy a leisurely meal after we had spent several hours in the nearby Mortella Gardens. I don't usually comment on such things, but the washrooms were particularly well appointed and clean. Much appreciated!Thank you

Usually, we don't like places that have everything - pizza, seafood, pasta,... But La Meridiana was different. Recommended by locals who know what good food is, it was a perfect choice. A nice walk from Forio center, the restaurant is on the beach which means fabulous seaview.We had some pizza and a grilled fish and both was more than perfect. A pizza that pizzaioli in Naples would be ashamed of and a perfectly grilled sea bream. With a kind family atmosphere in the place (the whole family participating in cooking/serving process) and excellent food, this is on our dining list for the next visit of Ischia.

Amazing! We ended up here after the restaurant we had planned to visit (based on reviews) didnât have an extensive menu. There are about 5 bars along the sea front here and we were too early for dinner service, which was 7:30/8 ish (as we skipped lunch) however the owner of this place offered to make us some light, so we happily accepted his kind offer and wow! The freshest meal of our entire trip!! Bruschetta with tomato, mozzarella, garlic, basil & rocket. Beautiful!! We ended a few hours here as the lemoncello spritz & aperol spritz he was making was spot on, the view was amazing and the restaurant was filling up which is always a good sign! The main course was also lovely, gnocchi with tomato & mozzarella (Iâve eaten a lot of this, this holiday!) and a mussel & tomato spaghetti (without shells which my friend appreciated as everywhere else she has been fighting crustaceans!)Overall a beautiful view, lovely food & fantastic service!

This place is right on the beach so has a fantastic position. The staff were friendly and quite welcoming. The food was really good and it was pretty good value too. I would definitely go here again if we return to Ischia.

Wandered past in the afternoon and noted a Michelin star rating for 2016, 2017 ...we booked!! Great seafood, wine and exvellent service.... treat yourself to this dining experience with a table on the enclosed terrace - overlooking the bay... you will not be disappointed!!!

We visit this restaurant at least twice a year, the food gets a little better each year and is now one of the best on the island of Ischia. Service is prompt and professional and we look forward to returning later in the year

Very beautiful location on the beach, from its windows you can see blue water of the bay and also watch over your clothes on the beach.Very beautiful interior, design tables.
