Reviews on International food in Killarney, Province of Munster, Ireland. Forget fashionable footwear, only your most comfortable shoes will cut it in Killarney. It's a walking town, and every trail is a history lesson. Journey on foot through Ireland's first national park, 26,000 acres of woodlands, sandstone mountains and low-lying lakes. When your feet wear out, take in Killarney National Park via boat from Ross Castle. And because there are more hotel beds in Killarney than in any other Irish town or city (besides Dublin), you'll always have a place to rest your head (and feet).

Scotts bar Killarney is a lively, modern & contemporary bar in Killarney, and a well known landmark in a vibrant and hugely popular part of Killarney. For decades Scotts' Bar in Killarney has been serving up good bar food, good company and of course a gre
I love the variety of food available in Killarney, and I had high hopes for Scottâs. Searching for lunch today, we happened upon Scottâs. It was a beautiful day and the prospect of lunch al fresco was delightful. We sat down and noticed that the place was about three quarters full. Further inspection showed that the table we selected was not clean. Easy fix: we changed tables. Still not clean. We waited for service that did not arrive. My partner ultimately went into the bar and asked to order. He was waited upon by a young boy who was the sole available staff member. This boy appeared nervous and unsure of himself and did not respond to attempts to have him relax. When my partner attempted to order he was advised that he would have to pay before he could eat! Teething troubles we can understand, the kid was young and it appeared to be his first day on the job. However!!!! The food! Oh dear. I had soup of the day which was some version of potato soup but was watery, full of pepper and totally tasteless! My partner had a chicken, mushroom and ham special which turned out to be very unappealing to sight and according to him, even less appealing in taste. The french fried were even dry and could not be revived by the addition of salt and vinegar. We were very disappointed with Scottâs. In high tourist season, mid July, they have to do better than this. It easily was the worst culinary experience weâve had in Killarney. Every aspect of presentation... cleanliness, service and quality of food was grossly lacking. I could not recommend under any circumstance.

There were three of us and although the restaurant was near empty, the menu looked so enticing we took a chance and so glad we did. The food was delicious. The wait staff was attentive. Step off the main drag and discover something wonderful.

Nice, bright, clean. If you're looking for upscale, modern food at a good price, stop here. Loved the meatballs, tomato soup, and especially the goat cheese and mushroom crustini. Paella was a bit of a disappointment, but maybe it's me since this was the first time I ordered it. Had dinner and drinks here last night. The staff were friendly, the beer cold and the food very good. We were there before the live music started, but the background music wasn't too bad. We had the clam chowder, chorizo and goat's cheese salad and the monkfish scampi, all of which were very good indeed. The bread with the chowder was a little dry.Dear Dieter,Thank you for your review and I am thrilled that you enjoyed all the food, the staff and the atmosphere. Its always wonderful to hear from our customer's and we all look forward to seeing you in O'ds again.Best regards,Paul O'Sullivan General Manager

The Brasserie Restaurant at The Europe Hotel & Resort, with terrace for relaxed al fresco dining and stunning views over the lakes of Killarney, is open from 11am to 11pm serving light snacks to succulent flamed grills steaks.
Just enjoyed a superb and filling lunch at the Europe hotel. The setting is beautiful and I found all the staff, particularly Valerie to be very attentive and helpful. Valerie looked after my father and I with great professionalism and attentiveness. To start, we shared a chicken Caesar salad which surpassed other salads I have had at other restaurants in the area. Following this, I had a very creamy and therefore heavy crab and prawn pasta. It was rich and I could not finish it as I had already eaten some of the chicken Caesar and some of their delicious breads , homemade with tapenade. The pasta had plenty crab claws and prawns through it which made it great value. My father had a burger which was very tasty and he really enjoyed it. To finish we had the classic Eton mess which was really light and a nice way to finish a pleasant afternoon.

We are a family run Restaurant in the heart of Killarney serving local food prepared with an International twist for well over ten years now. We welcome you to Treyvauds and are sure that you will enjoy fantastic fresh food served with a friendly smile. W
My wife and I discovered Paul Treyvaud from his cooking show that was on Amazon Prime. His enthusiasm was infectious and his recipes looked delicious. We decided that we needed to travel to Kiillarney as part of our latest trip to Ireland to visit his restaurant. My wife made reservations online and to be doubly sure she reached out to Paul Treyvaud on Facebook to confirm. Not only did he confirm, the man himself was waiting to personally greet us before having to dash off home. Mr. Treyvaud is an absolute gent and was incredibly generous with his time and the food at his restaurant was beyond reproach. We split the goat's cheese tartlette to start which was rich and creamy with a golden delicious buttery crust. My wife ordered the meatballs served in a red wine sauce with colcannon and I opted for the bacon and cabbage. The meatballs were succulent and juicy perfectly accompanied with the thick tangy red wine sauce. Having grown up on bacon and cabbage I was interested to see what a fancier restaurant could do to elevate such an Irish staple and I was not disappointed. Two thick slices of quality Irish bacon smothered in a creamy mustard sauce and perfectly cooked cabbage. Additional sides of potatoes, fresh vegetables, crispy french fries and crunchy salad accompanied our mains. Very generous portions meant neither of us were able to clear our plates (not for want of trying) and leave room for what looked like some amazing desserts. We left Treyvaud's with very full bellies making it very difficult to fit in some stout from some of the fine pubs in the area.Hi GerryThanks a million for an incredible review and it was fantastic to meet you guys on the night. Really appreciate you taking the time to post it up. Hope you guys had a great night on the town after!!Paul Treyvaud

One of the best meals I had while traveling in Ireland. I had the mushroom pasta (ravioli) ... it was delicious. Everyone at our table was happy with their meal and then the dessert came ... WOW. Strawberry cheesecake with the most incredible vanilla ice cream I have ever had. Strange to be raving about vanilla ice cream, but it was that good!! We also had the Eton Mess, which was hands down the best dessert I had on my trip. I would go back to Killarney just to dine at Murphy Brownes again!Dear Tinybird, Delighted you enjoyed your meals, we pride ourselves on good wholesome tasty food.. I(Dee) make all our cheesecakes so delighted you liked it..We are thrilled that you enjoyed your experience with us and look forward to welcoming you back in the near future.Warm Regards Dee and Denis
