There once was an Irish city… You might think "naughty poem" when you hear the word Limerick, but in truth the city inspires so much more than just knowing giggles. Medieval castles and churches give the city a grand feel, while the pubs crawl with lively locals and students who are all craving just one more pint of Guinness. The Hunt Museum boasts a collection of pieces from history's most important and influential artists, while the Foynes Flying Boat Museum will marvel visitors of all ages with its whimsical flying machines.

A girls night out. Six of us. Had a wonderful meal, staff were excellent and very helpful. One of our group had a special birthday so we insisted on her having a drink while we had the coffee. They must have over heard us and gave us the drink o the house we were not expecting it and it was a nice touch. Will certainly be back.

Ordered chicken and waffles with coleslaw- absolutely awful-overcooked chicken, dry over baked waffles and sour coleslaw , this dish was priced almost €15.00 what a rip off. Toilets weren’t cleaned properly either. I wouldn’t recommend anyone going there. Awful food, overpriced and staff not particularly friendly and dirty toilets.

Was in Mortells in May at a private birthday party and had the nicest fish i have had in years, because it was a party unsure what fish it was, we all had something different, but I think it was either hake or haddock. Anyway the fish was so fresh, succulent and beautifully prepared, accompanied by a lovely fresh salad and gorgeous soda bread. Yearning to go back since then. This place is a true hidden gem.

We ate here a week ago and were impressed. Fish and chips were perfect and service excelllent. Promised to return. Went back last night and what a difference three staff instead of one as previously but different atmosphere. Waitress got order wrong and seemed indifferent. When fish and chips were served we could see the difference before trying the food. Fish was ok but not brilliant like the previous week but chips were dreadful mostly dry end bits which were overcooked.Waitress was indifferent to our commentSuch a shame when you think that you have found a little gem
