Although the locals know it as Jeffâs this little gem would not be out of place in Piazza San Marco (St Peters Square) in Venice. The fire in Jeffâs stone oven is stoked with dried oak logs that you can see the helpful staff placing into the fire right in front of you while serving. On modern television these days Italian chefs making pizza are shown tossing the pizza dough in the air. Anyone who has been to Italy and tried truly authentic pizza knows this is only dramatics for tv. Although Jeff himself is not Italian he shows the same passion and pride in his pizza that he might have ancestors from Italy. Jeff and his staff are the true embodiment of authentic Italian pizza from his fresh homemade pizza dough to his fresh ingredients and love that goes into the pizza you are sure not to be disappointed. To sum up if you are in skibbereen call into Jeff and witness a true piece of Italian cuisine.

Blondies is the local offering of a chippy opened a couple of years ago. Food is cooked to order and chips are cut just prior to frying so this ensures food is freshly prepared. Might have to wait 10-15 mins max but you can also telephone in advance to place an order. Really great fish and chips locally sourced and they have a mini version which is really decent even for adults with smaller appetites.

Picture four mums and ten hungry/hangry kids, after a long day in West Cork. Not knowing the area we asked a local who sent us here. From the outside it doesnt appeal, but we changed our mind when the food arrived. Delicious freshest fish ever. Chips to die for. Staff were very accommodating and moved tables so the entire party could sit together. Prices like I remember from ten years ago! If KC's in Douglas Cork can have a Bridgestone award then they need to visit Leslies! Four very happy American tourists with their six Irish friends. This is a gem and well worth a visit.

We're a family run business located in the heart of Slibbereen, specializing in fresh burgers, fish and lovely homemade chips. We use locally sourced products.
I've never had a taco burger before! I'll be having one every time I visit now! What a friendly takeaway. 6 friends and I, from Edinburgh, were through in Skibberean the day before a wedding and all the locals we asked pointed to JC's. The Paragon right next door let us eat JC's at their tables so it became a Takeaway restaurant! The folks from JC's were so lovely they even *served us* at our table in the Paragon (and Michael cleared it all away, cheers!). In the end you take your plates back to JC which is handy because you'll want to thank them by that point anyway - the food is great!! (There's a huge menu but did I mention the taco burger?) It was really nice to see two local businesses happy to work together like that. Until next time! Thank you :)Thanks for your kind words, we are so glad you had a great experience!Hope to see ye again!
