This popular restaurant is what West Cork is all about. The clientele and staff were a mixed bunch of foodies from all over. No pretensions or "emperor's new clothes" about this place! The food was beautifully prepared and presented. I would honestly say that my own cooking and diet have been greatly affected by my experience here. The surprise dish is a great idea.

Box of Frogs was recommended by a shop owner in Bantry. I ordered decaf coffee, scone, cappuccino & doughnut. My mum found the coffee âstrangeâ no real,taste & a slightly strange colour. Cappuccino was nice doughnut was ok, scone wasnât great. The place was very busy, staff were nice. Donât think I would go back

A rainy night in bantry and we checked out the brick oven.Food was typical pizzeria fare I had calamari to start and a huge plate of linguini with prawns. Nice but sometimes less is more.My wife had mussels which she loved and the Sicilian pizza which she demolished. Service was so , so but the food was really nice if not presented with finesse
