Came here for lunch expecting luxury and good food. At first glance the hotel is beautiful, perched on the side of a cliff with breathtaking views. The staff are very friendly and attentive. We sat in a window seat overlooking the sea and ordered our food. From here it went downhill, if this food is all that is needed to get a Michelin star I'm surprised that my local chipper doesn't have one. I had the steak sandwich, there was so little steak in it I pushed it all on to half the bread and had half a steak sandwich, the chips where from frozen and so greasy I didn't eat them. My wife had the chicken wrap which she reckons mc Donald's do a nicer one. We both had the strawberry desert which was delicious. The floor was dirty, or should I say it needed a hoovering. In short, lovely hotel, staff, view and dessert but if you want decent food try elsewhere

My family and I dropped in for a lovely evening tea and really enjoyed the pleasant environment and good service.Very handy after a walk along the promenade. My only disappointment was when I enquired at the desk about any special offers to stay at the hotel, the person at the reception was not helpful and somewhat dismissive

We were passing through Youghal on Sunday morning, and this was one of the few places open for brunch. It's a lovely atmospheric place with a great selection of cakes and savoury snacks. Coffee was top class also. Bonus, they had both soya and almond milk available.
