Impromptu Midweek meal out, we were seated upstairs overlooking the bay. Glorious view!! Utterly delicious fresh prawns, hake and plaice with generous portion of homemade breads, chips, potatoes and vegetables on the side. Friendly subtle service throughout. Too full to do anything but look at the dessert menu. A great reason to come back again!

Went to this restaurant last night because of Trip Advisor and we are glad we did. They took a reservation because we were 6 people. Food was terrific. Between us all we had mussels, oysters, fried calamari, monk fish, catch of the day and pasta with all kinds of seafood. Everything was great. Prices were extremely reasonable. They had a great bottle of Malbec which a lot of places donât have.

One of Galway's most enduring restaurants, housed in one of the city's most iconic restaurant spaces, Ard Bia has always placed as much emphasis on community experiences and aesthetic stimulation as on serving great food in a fun environment. We believe i
We stopped into this charming little restaurant located on the water just past the Spanish Arch on a rainy afternoon and inquired about dinner, making our reservation. Our meals were excellent, fresh and the proportions perfects. Hopefully, I will return to Galway again, and this will definitely be on my list!

From the reviews we expected something quite special, so we were a bit disappointed, although âaverageâ may be a bit harsh.Large menu and large portions and the staff were friendly and engaging but aspects of the food were disappointing.Chowder was bland, under-seasoned and far too creamy, but the scallop starter was good. Our sea trouts were well cooked and came with more than enough potato and vegetable accompaniments but we were recommended to order more potatoes and broccoli - which were then hardly touched. Overall that dish should have been simpler to get the full benefit of the sea trout.

Visited Friday, we were seated promptly. From the beginning everything was perfect. There was a great selection on the menu, there was something to suit everyone. I had the seafood chowder followed by the fish and chips, they were both really fresh and tasty. Stephanie who was our waitress was vert attentive and made great recommendations. All the staff were very helpful nothing was any trouble. We will return next time we are in Galway.

Blake's Corner Bar, located in the heart of the city plays a big part of Galway's food scene. Since its establishment in 2012, there has been a strong focus on building an excellent reputation for food complemented by a friendly and professional service i
We visited blakes bar recently and had the lunch menu. Food was very tasty and plentiful but what made our visit great was our server! Conor was an absolute delight throughout our meal. I actually left the bar in better form then when we went in because of him. I was unsure of whether to get the soup of the day (which turned out to be amazing) but conor had said that if I didn't like it that he would have no issue replacing it for chips with my sandwich. His positive attitude and care was outstanding.

We are so glad we decided to have dinner at this cozy restaurant. We had been walking around Galway checking out our options and decided to eat here on the spur of the moment, and it was a great choice. The staff are friendly and attentive. I had a delicious tagine that the kitchen kindly accommodated my request to add chicken to. My husband had the lamb shank. We also shared a mezze board as a starter (which had excellent hummus and was a generous portion). We'd visit this restaurant again in a heartbeat!

We had the tasting menu which was excellent however they appeared to be short staffed. Waiting staff were almost running between tables and different people brought different courses. Some were able to explain each course while others just dropped it and ran. Not great on pouring the drinks either. I got a large Perrier and it was just deposited on the table beside me unopened!
