We specialise in the best local food that west Cork has to offer. Our menu includes tasting plates of local cheese and cured meats as well as a great wood fired pizza. We also stock an extensive range of fine wines and local produce, cheese a speciality.
Friendly hosts, fabulous cheese selection (see them inside where they sell them "to go"), selection of cured meats, beer -- what a great way to have an afternoon lunch while traveling through the area. Finish it off with a cup of poitin (traditional distilled spirit -- strong!). It's good to have a driver!Eat outside on the "porch". Relax!

The visit started well, owner was friendly. Young waiter was fine too. Food came in a timely manner and was pleasant, though not outstanding. The bit about the visit that made me uncomfortable was the way we felt watched by the owner and his wife. There were not many people in the restaurant which made it all the more obvious. It felt like they were in a hurry to get our players cleared. And they cleared some players while some of its were still eating. There seemed no need for that given the lack of guests. When it came to playing I wanted to pay by card and he asked if I had any cash because he had to pay the chef tonight. I said I'd prefer to pay by card so he reluctantly let me. It wasn't the worst experience we've had however it's not one we wish to repeat.

The worst bowl of seafood chowder I have ever experienced as I have had a lot of them in my lifetime. There was almost no fish content, a white soup with just chopped onions and two good mussels in shells floating on top. A rip off at 7.95. I did complain to staff who were polite and said they would pass my comments on to the chef. I would expect better from the Glengarrif Park Hotel or indeed from any basic cafe in a coastal area on wild atlantic way.

Staying for 3 nights nearby:) the campsite owner suggested Caseyâs as best food in town and have to say the crab claws in garlic were lovely as to was the Beef & Guinness Pie with veggies. Ate somewhere Different 2nd night but came back for final night meal and had the scallops gratin which were wonderful. Have to agree with campsite owner very good food.

We were happy to get a reservation at this delightful, truly gourmet restaurant. I started with Hanleyâs black pudding, not something that would usually attract me but it was delicious. My husband had the quartet of crostini and raved after every bite. He followed with the potato gnocchi while I had the supreme of chicken and we both were delighted. Dessert was equally wonderful...The only blip might have been that we asked for tea and were left to pour our own cups from a very full exceedingly hot teapot that was hard to handle. But otherwise a lovely evening.
