Reviews on Bar food in Kilfenora, Province of Munster, Ireland. Kilfenora (Irish: Cill Fhionnúrach, meaning "Church of the Fertile Hillside" or "Church of the White Brow", [ˈciːlʲˈɪn̪ˠuːɾˠəx]) is a village and a civil parish in County Clare, Ireland. It is situated south of the karst limestone region known as the Burren. Since medieval times when it was the episcopal see of the Bishop of Kilfenora, it has been known as the "City of the Crosses" for its seven (now five) high crosses. The village had around 220 inhabitants in 2011 and achieved a certain amount of fame as the location where much of the TV show Father Ted (1995-98) was filmed.

Kenny's Bar, Lahinch has become a landmark in North Clare, frequented by both locals and visitors alike, for its relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. A fourth generation family business, Kenny's humble origins as a coachhouse in the 1830s, has seen it evolve
Ordered the special of fresh crab claws with salad & fries. Crab claws were served in a sauce not specified & were not very fresh or juicy. Sauce was warm & my salad was placed in the centre of the plate so it was nicely wilted!! & surrounded by warm sauce. Expensive for what I got. Nice bar for a deink

We are a family run Pub/restaurant, celebrating 25 years in Business . We are only 35 minutes from Shannon airport on the R476 on route to the Burren or Cliff's of Moher. We are well know for our great TRADITIONAL MUSIC SESSIONS every Wednesday , Friday &
Probably the most disappointing meal of our visit to Ireland. Village pub so no great expectations for lunch but paying 50 euros for two basic meals and 4 pints of coke is pretty expensive and fairly underwhelming fish and thai curry meal (is thai curry really meant to come with boiled potato and cauliflower in the curry? Or is that actually just putting general veg in the mix?). Close to The Burren so if you need fuel like we did then doable. Friendly service but otherwise pretty meh and paying twice the price for drinks as elsewhere nearby don't work.

Traditional irish pub owned and run by the same family since 1876. Serving home cooked meals daily from march to november 1st. Groups catered for with reservations. Traditional irish music live every night all summer long. Come and join us!!
McGann's which has a higher rating than McDermott's was closed, so we went to McDermott's. We are glad we did! It was great! The atmosphere is pure Irish, the food was excellent, the beer cold and the staff friendly. I had the duck, which was maybe the best meal I've had in Ireland, and my wife had the prawns, which she also thought was outstanding. We sipped on a few beers until the entertainment started at 9:00. They were good as well and capped off a terrific evening.A very good spot!

Stopped by for a drink here and would highly recommend it . The pub is comfy and inviting , with its own little snug down the back . It also serves food , however we didn’t eat there, so can’t comment , but having perused the menu it looks like good value. A nice place to settle in for an evening .

RARELY do I give 5 stars. Rathbaun is pretty terrific. It’s a family owned and operated and evident through the smiles and genuine concern. The menu is simple yet covered everyone in our group including the vegetarian and vegan. There’s live music. Good music. Clap your hands and dance if you wish. Stay here too! Sweet little village near The Cliffs but just far enough so the crowds and prices are reasonable. When I return, I’ll stay here! I had lamb stew last night and seafood chowder tonight. DELICIOUS!

The pub is open all year round from 10am until late. Food is served by Kieran's Kitchen from March until beginning of November. Last orders at 8.45pm. In spring 2011, Peter Curtin embarked on a new endeavour: He set up the Burren Brewery in the Roadside T
Fabulous place to visit, food amazing, dropped in after visiting the Burren Smokehouse, a great place for lunch! Staff very friendly and attentive. My brother had bacon and cabbage, and my sister in law and I shared the platter. Fabulous pate and smoked salmon as well as cheese and meat!

It was crab for all three of us - Crab cakes, Crab sandwich, Crab salad. All were fresh and full of Crab. Good Service, topped by a Great View of the bay, made this a great lunch stop. We'll be back.
