I had a work lunch and the location is really beautiful, so warm.The quality and the presentaion of the food is good but the waiter (I suppose that he was the owner of the restaurant) was a bit unfrendly and not welcoming.Without this point I would have given full marks.

Atmosfera retro' e sensazione di trovarsi nel cuore del nulla in un luigo fuori dal tempo. Ortima cucina tradizionale ma con un tocco di originalità . Antipasti molto accattivanti (ottimo il radicchio condito col guancialino abbrustolito e piadina fatta in casa). Primi eccellenti, dai cappellacci di zucca agli spaghetti alla chitarra o i gnocchetti di zucca, tutto rigorosamente fatto a mano e conditi meravigliosamente.Secondi eccellenti e dolci esattamente come li faceva la nonna. Ottimo rapporto qualità /prezzo. Pulizia perfetta e servizio cortese, anche se un po' troppo lento, curato da ragazzi giovani che fanno ben sperare nelle giovani generazioni, specie se si velocizzano un po' nel servire ai tavoli!Un posto dove tornare.Bravi!

Best ever. This is one of the best of the area, for sure! During a trip to Italy about two months ago we ended up in the countryside areas of Bologna/Modena/Ferrara and asked around for a local restaurant and got suggested the Cantagallo. Besides serving some great pizzas they offer these fantastic homemade stuffed pastas such as tortellini and tortelloni not to forget some great meat dishes among which I would pick beef fillet done in different styles such as the balsamic vinegar one or the tagliata steak with parmesan and rocket salad. That week they had a whole special menu based on truffle dishes, so good! All washed down with some incredibly affordable local varieties of wine. Easy going friendly service and unbeatable value for money. At the end of the meal we got served a tray with selection of five different local digestive liquors...full bottles at extra no charge!!! NOT TO BE MISSED if you are around the Emilia Romagna region, just on top of Toscany.

Locale tranquillo dove potete assaggiare da una buona pizza ad un buon. piatto di pesce. Lasciatevi consigliare per la cucina; quanto alle pizze sono tutte buone e gustose. Servizio puntuale e veloce. Rapporto qualità -prezzo buono.

Ristorante molto carino, con un bellissimo spazio esterno, arredato con gusto; sala non grandissima, ma pulita e ordinata; un bel menù, non scontato; servizio cordiale e veloce; la ragazza che lavora in sala è così bella che sembra venire da un altro pianeta!Conto giusto, bravi!

A friend brought us here as we were touring the Modena region. Beautiful countryside and amazing historical buildings. We stayed in accommadation above La Fefa as they also have a cooking school and a hotel ( rather private) The rooms have linen sheets and virgin rubber mattresses, the best sleep we have ever had. The restaurant is famous for authentic and uncomplicated traditional Itaian food. Our waitress provided remarkable attentiona and care demonstrating a professional level of service. This is a foodies restaurant and each meal is prepared with great care and skill. An extensive regional wine list with good wine pairing exists. Desert was followed by a wide collection of Grappa to choose from.

Interesting menu. Fantastic pasta, snails, frogs legs and a selection of superb Irish, British and Argentinian beef.Slightly lacking in atmosphere but the food makes up for it.
