Myself and three colleagues visited Bel Viale on two occasions during our stay in Foz do Iguaçu - both times the food was excellent, but it was the staff who really made our day! The restaurant is not located in a touristic area, so we were not surprised to find that they didn't speak much English, nevertheless they had a wonderful sense of humour and our efforts to communicate some specific dietary requirements in 'Spanglishese' was great fun (it's difficult to be a lactose-intolerant vegetarian in Brazil, but we managed it!). Highly recommended.

My husband and I had dinner here in November 2018 and were horribly disappointed in almost every way. Most importantly, the food itself was terrible. We are vegetarian and ordered vegetable fajitas for three people because we were really hungry. What they brought us was the following:- A plate with about 10 tortilla chips and 20 bland french fries. This plate included 4 different "salsas", but only about a tablespoon each for us to share. The first was supposedly guacamole, but it was a strange green color unlike any avocados I've ever seen. The second was like a pico de gallo, and it was actually decent (but gone in two bites). The third was a super-processed hot sauce. And the fourth was mashed black beans.- A skillet that was 80% onions with just a few slices of peppers and tomatoes, and 6 flour tortillas. All of the veggies were incredibly bland, and there was nothing to put on it. There was no rice or beans, either. For all of this, we were charged over $20. I'm not really a fan of Chili's, but we would have gotten far superior fajitas there for about the same price (which is insane given what most food costs in Argentina). The only thing that went well during the entire meal was the service, which was very good. Our server was friendly and attentive throughout.

This was the only restaurant close to the Myhotel eco lodge. I am happy we had a meal here. Very good home style food. Off the beaten track. The hotel suizo and the hotel cabanas del lenador are in the same complex. In the midst of greenery and very calm.
