Antica Osteria del Ponte

..L’atmosfera elegante della locanda del ‘500 con la vista sul naviglio e sulle splendide ville storiche è la cornice che contraddistingue questo ristorante

Beautiful place, very high quality food and professional service. We have decided to try this restaurant for Valentine’s eve. There was a fixed menù, 2 starters, first course, second, dessert, coffee and water. All this just for 55 euros per person. Would definitely suggest this place!Need to be booked in advance via email or phone.

Cascina Rosio

Cascina rosio is simply one of the best Cascina to go to around that area. The location is just great. Few minutes away from the busy and jammed traffic of milan and you experience your own twilight dimension. In fact, being just by the Parco Agricolo sud, gives to cascina rosio an authentic idea of being in the middle of nowhere, forgotten by everyone , though easy to reach and impossible to miss it ;) Perfect place to share with a nice , big group of good friends and kids are more than welcome for real ;) and cost for 'em is reasonable applied to what they normally eat/drink. I'd say fair enough, considering that kids pay 60% of total cost of adult while babies are mostly not charged.Food is normally served in shifts, so u better be there on the clock making sure you won't miss the starting bell sound: that could be a downside for some, but on the average I'd say it's worth to have their criteria in place and having orders running smoothly out of the kitchen .Nice to walk in and find the starters already there waiting for you , served on a set up table well in advance , with good order. Food quality is above average. I haven't been here for a while and a bit worried to have carried a better memory than what it was brought forward in the past few years, but i was happily surprised to confirm the same ratio, maybe a better presentation and a bit less quantity than what i used to recall maybe if you want to be picky , but still good enough to spend a lovely 3 hours eating good food , fill up your belly , taste good food and enjoying the company.Going into details, their variety of starters was pretty filling between baked cakes and local salumi. To mention their onion treated in sauce and served in a bump of slices that was closer to cabbage rather than onions. Sweet!!Main course was first a double served dish with salami rice and cannelloni di ricotta con pistacchio on a cauliflower bed followed by brasato chops cooked in wine and chicken slice covered by juicy mushrooms.Desert was good but little ;) Once again, atmospheres and environment good enough to fell somewhere else but not at 5min drive from Milan while service fast and kind, good enough to avoid pile of empty dishes growing on your table and block the view to who's opposite to you.Little downside, maybe i would have left house wine included in the 30€ /per person cost, while leaving the opportunity to still upgrade the level if desired ...Besides that, nothing elae to add . Nice surprise besides the parking lot, was the recent ( for me ) farm set up just behind the Cascina, to complete the already right atmosphere.CiaoEpi

In a very small town, I found this place in the corner in front of the canal close to the old bridge. The location is not special or fashion, but staff was very kind even if we arrived very late (about 14.30) for lunch, and food is tasty with a good price.
