Was really excited to visit No 1 restaurant in Milan but was so disappointed. Yes, the service was friendly and helpful, but I ordered a chicken salad and some pieces of the chicken was not cooked!!. My family ordered burgers and they were good but I was not happy with under cooked chicken, which was still pink inside. I showed the waiter at the end of the meal but was not offered a replacement or a free drink on the house as an apology, such a shame as we were so looking forward to this our last meal in Milan. My son ordered a side of chips and they didn't arrive until after he had finished his meal, and we had to chase the waiter twice. I would not class it as a cheap eat, Certainly won't be returning.Hey Chip78, thanks for taking the time to share your review! We are sorry that your experience at theLab was not positive. Our chicken breast is cooked at low temperature and grilled only at the time of service to prevent it from being overcooked and dry. Chicken breast is white meat and, if cooked in this way, remains pink inside. However, this does not mean that it is not cooked, but that it has kept all its juices and qualities. On your second note, as we mention in our menu, during busy hours, the wait time can be extended. We're still working on improving our serving times for our customers to have the best experience. Tomarrow we are flying out of Linate Airport and are spending the night at Hotel Maxim, thanks to Trip Advisor reviews. Across the street is a two month old restaurant "Be Burgers & Grill". We thought we would give it a try, as a break to Italian food. Boy what a treat. My wife and I had different burgers and she had fries, while I had the potato chips. The burgers were the quality of the best burgers in the USA. The buns were fresh and equivalent to the buns "at home". Both the fries and chips are freshly made for each customer (hot and crispy). We each had a chocolate mousse and it too was freshly made and fantastic. As we said, the restaurant just opened in early August and it is clean and has a pleasant atmosphere. The service is top notch and all speak English well. The restaurant is located off the road in a traffic circle and is difficult to see (it is directly across the street from Hotel Maxim). There is parking along the side of the building in a lighted area, that looks like a loading dock.This is a great find for burger loving folks. They also have steaks, ribs and chicken. The quality of their meats are high. Give it a try if you are staying overnight to catch a flight from Linate. You will not be sorry.
