We went here for a "date night" - we wanted a place that wasn't too far from home, but not around the corner, either. The location is a bit sinister, especially when it's dark and raining: you have to ring a doorbell to be let in - but once we walked into the room, we knew everything was fine. The room, light and roomy, was full of smiling, satisfied-looking customers. I grew up in a restaurant family, so when the owners greeted us, I immediately recognized the kind of pride that means you're in for a great evening. And that it was! It's definitely not cheap - a plate of soup cost 18 euros, but, on the other hand, mineral water, a glass of spumante, great bread, and a couple of excellent "amuse gueules" were all included in the price. Everything about the food was great - elegant, creative, first-quality ingredients perfectly combined and cooked. Even if it's not our usual kind of place - we're more into funky ethnic or regional food than nouvelle cuisine - we loved it, and that, together with the excellent service and relaxed but festive atmosphere made for a perfect evening. We spent a little over 100 euros for 2 "primi", an antipasto and a secondo, two desserts and a half-liter bottle of wine. It's not the kind of sum you'd want to spend every week for a meal, but it was definitely worth every penny. We'll be back, but next time, we'd like to try out the tasting menu at 55 euros per person. Recommended!

We had a fantastic lunch here with friends during a trip to Italy, it was one of the best meals of our trip, the owners are wonderfully friendly and the food not only tastes amazing but the presentation is beautiful too. The ingredients used were absolutely delicious, great wine and wonderful service. You can really feel the warmth of the owners in this quirky restaurant, there is also a lovely courtyard where you can sit outside. The desserts were great too with the best tirimasu we had during our 8 day trip. Highly recommended!!!!!

I stayed close by at a hotel. This was recommended ... Full Italian warm welcome. Two daughter with me who a very picky in what to eat. We ordered three different dishes : pasta, pizza and risotto. What an incredible variety of tastes. All simple ingredients with so much flavor on one dish .. Pasta with almonds, capers, pesto and more .. Zucchini risotto ... It all tasted as we all wanted ...

Top luxury restaurant where you'll have a waiter dedicated, a Somelier and perfect service ... an ice bucket always refilled of fresh white sparkling bubbles. Prices are the fault...it's not for all the pockets....but if you want to impress or live a king night .... that's it.

I've been there quite a few times and I must say the selection and quality of fish is amazing taking into consideration that you are in a little village close to Malpensa Airport. Shellfish, oysters, king crabs just to name a few are offered to you by a well mannered, old stile owner who really loves what he does. The bill is expensive, perhaps too expensive, yet you still go back!

Nice sicilian restaurant. We have a menù of fresh fish
I went here with my family to experience a traditional Sicilian meal, and I was not disappointed. As soon as you walk in, you feel like you are in Sicily, the walls are decorated with beautiful Sicilian artworks as well as antique bookshelves. The waiters are really friendly and hilarious, they were always there if you needed anything and served the food and wine with so much class. I was really impressed. Now the food was by far the best meal I've ever eaten! Thank you so much! We had 2 entrees and 2 main meals because I wanted to try everything and it all tasted so delicious! The Sicilian wine was also so yummy that I want to import it to Australia! I also had a "pistachio ricotta cannoli" for dessert and I reckon I could live on just these, omg so delicious. I left with such a smile on my face, so impressed with the service, the food and the atmosphere that I anyone that goes here will definitely enjoy it. Just note, I would recommend making a reservation, because the restaurant caters for about 40 people and you definitely want a table. So this just shows its about "quality not quantity". 100 / 100 will definitely come back to Italy just to go to this restaurant! :)

Ristorante moderno, riapre dopo due anni di trasloco a Milao Marittima con un volto nuovo, più easy e informale, aperto solo a cena per aperitivi, cene e dopocena
I am loath to use superlatives when it comes to restaurants and hotels simply because there is always the possibility that one evening you can enjoy the benefits of of good luck only to be disappointed the next time you visit. I have had to downgrade a few places in the past for that very reason.I will venture a guess saying that La Piazzetta will simply see its fame and appreciation increase as time goes by.The points I noticed were:a not too vast menu with items that all seemed to merit being chosen. This would indicate a preference for quality over quantity. Many Italian restaurants often offer 45 or 50 different dishes.Statistically it would be a challenge to excel with each and every one. Some will be excellent and others so so.So a brief menu is the first point in favor of La Piazzetta.Their staff is clearly well trained and must have had the benefit of good formal schooling.Having received training used to be a must in Italy for hotel and restaurant staff. This is often no longer the case which makes a well run establishment stand out all the more.Their wine selection is varied and covers most of what the country has to offer. The wine list shows for each wine which main grapes have been blended. The is not something that you will find so frequently.I am not interested in studying the composition of each wine, per se, but the fact that I am presented with this information means that "plonk" (a poor quality wine) probably won't be on this menu.I settled for a menu selection composed of an appetizer, a first course, second course and desert. The appetizer was a mini taste of boiled polyp, tomato and eggplant. The first course Carnaroli rice that by itself was worth the trip (20 miles from Milan) and the main course again polyp (octopus) that was so tender it could have melted in your mouth. The deserts were all excellent and making a choice was not at all easy. They also offer a well endowed cheese selection which I will try the next time I wist. You may think that as this is a "slow food" type establishment you will risk leaving the table still hungry. Not so.This restaurant is most certainly worth trying.

Very careful service, good dinner with a heavy hand on salt, relatively good wines and moderately priced. If you are looking for a place for a business dinner, you wonât be disappointed. More attention to vegetarians and vegan options is needed.

Very nice bar and restaurant. Food and wait staff over the top.The location is just in an industrial zone but you have also tables in the external garden/parking, without any noise. No problem for parking.
