Awful service. I arrived hungry and wanted to make sure they had wifi before sitting down. I was rudely asked WHY I needed to know if they had wifi. Like, what's it to me if they have wifi or not? I should've left at that point but I was so shocked by the question that I replied that I wanted to eat in a place that has wifi. I sat down and looked the place up on TA and would never normally eat in such a place with awful reviews but was so hungry I ordered the simplest thing on the menu: caprese salad. It didn't even come with fresh basil like in the photo. The views are the best part and to be honest, they're not even that great. I was staaaarving and even the bread was bad.

The Pizzeria has traditional Sicilian pizzas and other dishes, with outdoor and indoor seating. We sat outside (the weather was fantastic!) and ate pizza, washed down with their fabulous almond wine. Service was a bit slow (they had several customers and only one or two servers), but it was impeccable when it came. Our server went out of her way to be helpful to a couple of Americans who don't speak Italian. A great place to eat while resting from the fabulous sightseeing from the "mountain"!

Thought we would find something unheard of when reading the reviews. But we were quite disappointed when seeing that the mushrooms were not fresh but from a tin. If you are a foodie looking for that authentic Italian pizza with top quality ingredients, this is not the place.

We visited Castlemola in an afternoon & decided we wanted an early dinner (5.30ish). Most of the restaurants were closed for siestaâs. Antico Caffe San Giorgio didnât have the best âcurb appealâ and on walking in looked a bit dingy. However, we decided to give it a go and how pleased we were that we did. Excellent pizzaâs, friendly staff & excellent local red wine. Spent a very pleasant couple of hours in there enjoying a very good meal. To top it off the prices are excellent too. Most definitely recommend this little place. Would imagine in the summer itâs completely packed as they are in a prime location & views of Taormina are wonderful.

I should have judged this establishment from the welcome I received from the woman who showed us to our table, surly was an understatement. The only time she broke into a smile (well half) was when I paid the bill.Anyhow judging by previous positive reviews I should have chosen either a pasta dish or pizza, as the choices my wife and made I made for our main course were decent enough but Lukewarm, with mine being brought to the table about 5 minutes after my wifeâs, together with the bread basket, and since when is a tomato salad just a bowl of sliced tomatoes.

My wife and I walked by this restaurant at least 10 times and didn't go in as we thought it only served fast food and snacks. Having read fantastic reviews for this restaurant but not realising which one it was, we recognised it from the photos and decided to give it a try.The food, the wine, the atmosphere and the friendliness of the owners are second to none. Please don't make the mistake we did, eat here and you won't regret it.The homemade bread is superb, the local wine outstanding and the food incredible.Our only disappointment: we discovered this on the last day of our holiday.
