Arrived late and hungry with two small children after long flight and drive. Took 45 minutes to serve us 2 pizzas and pasta with seafood (despite us asking the waitress reminding her our kids were tired amd hungry), which was in fact pasta with 2 clams and a prawn. The pizza was decidely average and to be avoided - bland.

Not the average restaurant you would expect in this city. Very interesting place for those seeking for typical Sicilian food in a warm welcoming establishment. Wine recommended was good and dishes particularly tasty. Hosts were highly committed to guide us through the menu asking for which flavours we were chasing.Do not hesitate one second this is the place you want to have lunch/dinner if you happen to come across TorregrottaWe actually even planned to come back the day after to taste other dishes but they were closed!!

Nel piccolo comune di Torregrotta, lo chef Giuseppe Geraci offre una cucina raffinata che parla di Sicilia. Aperto a pranzo e cena.
The food and service at this small restaurant is absolutely amazing. Our waitress was very friendly and helped us to translate the menu into English. For starters we had the swordfish "Arancini" and swordfish pasta which were both amazing, the best food we have eaten in Sicily! Mains we had pork and tuna (and a side of potatoes...not on the menu but worth ordering!) again both delicious! Dessert tiramisu and apple pie...a perfect ending!Thank you again we had a great time here!

We went here on a Saturday and as we were only one of four couples in the Restaurant looked forward to a speedy service. We waited for over an hour plus before our meals arrived, As these were a pizza and a pasta it seemed that these should not have taken that long. We also returned on the following Thursday for a take away pizza but were told that pizza take-away is only for the weekend. It seems that weekend take aways take preference to sit down customers so avoid weekends here unless you have time to kill!

This restaurant which is very large is located on the beach in Terragrotto. Although the restaurant has an extensive menu of pizzas the rest of the menu offers a wide selection of local dishes. We were staying nearby and were recommend to go there by our hosts as the best restaurant close by. We started by making a fundamental mistake by ordering some bruschetta for each of us with our wine. The portion size was enormous, 5 pieces each of loaded bruschetta which was delicious but far too much. As we had already ordered a starter to share and a main course we were already struggling. We shared a seafood risotto which was full of prawns, mussels and clams in a beautifully cooked risotto. It was excellent. For our main courses my wife had the mushroom pizza which was perfectly cooked thin crust pizza full of mushrooms but again enormous. I chose the fried calamari with a side order of chips (not surprisingly the portion of chips was enormous). Again everything was perfectly cooked. One member of the staff spoke some English which was extremely useful.although we had to wait 10 minutes or so before anyone showed any interest in us after our order was taken the service throughout was very good, helpful and attentive and there were no long pauses between courses. The value for money was excellent and we had a lovely meal by the beach watching the sun go down.
