Find out what Bar restaurants to try in Messina. At Sicily’s northeast tip, Messina is the first city being kicked by mainland Italy’s boot, just three miles across the Strait of Messina. It's a main port of entry for visitors via hydrofoils and ferries. Trains board the ferry, too, before continuing service. The 12th-century Norman cathedral, rebuilt after a 1908 earthquake destroyed it and much of the town, is the most famous attraction.

The place is a bit greasy but the food was good. We had burgers and panini and both were very tasty. Don't use the toilet if you don't have to though.

St. Taurus is a comfortable and clean " pub / brasserie " in the center of Messina . The lounge is large and bright and the staff is ready to answer all your questions . The menu is varied and full of good food to eat and well presented . There is a good selection of beers. St. Taurus is a welcome news that differs to pubs and breweries towns for the courtesy , the ambience and the excellent price - quality .

They have a Flintstones 'car' as a table. Different. Pretty busy on a Monday night. Good beer selection but no vino when we were there tonight. Pizza was quite good.

Scorching hot day. After walking around the city what could be better than a cold beer? I'll tell you... the craft beers this place serves. Very near the port and clock tower. What a great place! If I was local I'd be a regular. Helpful staff and I'm using their Wi-Fi to post this. Can't comment on the food but if you need a beer after touring the city this is your place.
Location bella veramente personale professionale cucina buona e veloce. Bravo lo chef. Consiglio a tutti di andare. Vi assicuro che non rimarrete delusi neanche dal conto. Si paga veramente poco.

Here at Sicania you'll find a place where simple things get special. We use local and fresh ingredients, not because it sounds cool but because that's the only way we know how to do our job. We love Messina and Sicily, its multifaceted history and its mix
A rivederci!!!

This is a good place for platters. The dish that they served was very good as you can see from the picture. Mine was the vegetarian option for 12 euros and there is vegan, too. Large range of veggies and very satisfying. If I was the chef I would get rid of the egg or sandwich and add some sauces to take this to the next level. Still, good food and friendly service!

We ordered a pint of Harp & a glass of wine , after a long day wandering around Messina . The pub itself was typically Irish and the staff were really friendly . However itâs the cost of the drinks that let the score down . ⬠12, I found a bit steep for two drinks.

Craving a burger after 2 weeks of grand italian food. This place did not let me down. Although my local gym will see more of me when I get back.home cooked juicy at least 1/2 pound burgers, with the works. Also had some good jalapeño poppers, a couple tall cold beers each and an order of fries for 30 euro.

Ok, so this is a city centre cafe/restaurant on a busy street in Messina and is never going to have ambitions to romantic alfresco dining. The food is the high point. My linguine with mussels and clams was great, my wifeâs salad of prosciutto, melon, mozzarella and rocket only being let down slightly by mediocre cheese. We both had Sicilian cassata, which is a completely different animal from the more commonly known Neapolitan version and was delicious. Service was a touch erratic but pulled through. 50⬠for two courses each, wine, water and tip felt a good deal to us.
