It's an amazing trattoria, Luciana, the owner and the chef, has a huge heart she puts into her cooking and into her hospitality. We were desperately looking for a place to eat, everything we tried was closed, so we decided to try this place based on the reviews here. It was closed too, but Luciana, who lives above the restaurant, noticed us, and opened the trattoria only for us! She prepared us a local pasta, which was very tasty, and then served some local cookies for desert. We really felt at home hosted as family members and not guests.I would strongly recommend booking in advance so you'd have a chance to taste all the variety of the dishes the trattoria can offer

We all thoroughly enjoyed this restaurant. The mushroom pasta was the best I've ever had and the wife's mushroom risotto was also exceptional. The quality and quantity of the main courses were excellent (we all tasted each others) as was the very genial service. It was a great night out for less than 100 euros for four adults. Can't be faulted

A Pizzeria with degustazione? We'll this not a traditional pizzeria. Sa Scolla is a blend between pizzeria and fine dining. When we arrived, we were first offered a sparkling rose on the house (first surprise). Then a amuse bouche (second surprise).Good, exciting toppings and nice, crispy pizza dough. Well executed!Very tentative and friendly service.Highly recommended.CKscoreFood (1-20): 16Service (1-5): 4

If you are looking for traditional Sardinian food this is the place you want! We've been welcomed by an wonderful couple ( nonna e nonno ) who will cook for you some delicious food with love and passion for their country. No menu here but i guarantee that you will experience some very good local food with a lot of different flavors and tastes and the local wine is definitely a must to go ( house made grappa too). definitely the best food we had on our trip served by lovely and charming persons. highly recommended.
This place was crowded in the early afternoon. Good gelato, a selection of bottled beer, coffee bar as expected, separate video game room, large outdoor patio. This is on the main corner of the town, nice for a refreshment after visiting Su Nuraxi.

We stopped for lunch at the Taverna del Conte while visiting the Giara di Gesturi and Su Nuraxi. I chose it from the Tripadvisor reviews and I did not want to stop in one of the very touristy places close to the nuraghe. The Taverna is located in Gesturi a little hidden away from the mainstreet, but you can follow the signage. In summer you can also sit on the terrace, which must be very peaceful compared to the places right at the mainstreet. The menu is very nice with lots of typical Sardian choices and a pizza section (however the oven was not turned on for lunch in April, might be different in high season). We had a very nice lunch and even received some free local starters. The culurgiones were the best I had while in Sardinia!

Hotel Ristorante Su Nuraxi is It is located a few steps from Nuraghe Su Nuraxi, a UNESCO site for over 20 years. From our verandas, from our rooms, you can admire the Nuraghe of Su Nuraxi in all its majesty and beauty. Here you can taste typical Sardinian
Our guide knew the owner from previous visits and recommended lunch. WOW, was it good! Absolutely the best handmade/homemade pasta of our three weeks in Italy. The owner came out and sat down for awhile to talk - if you have an Italian mother/aunt/neighbor, you know the owner, who takes pride in her cooking and enjoys visitors. When visiting the sites in Barumini EAT AT RISTORANTE SU NURAXI!!!

Can here on the recommendation of our hotel manager. Glad we took the time to come her. It is located in a quiet street that can easily be missed but luckily was well sign posted from the main road. The trickiest thing is to find a shaded spot for your car whilst you are dining. The inside is cool and quaint giving refuge from the blazing sun. I had the local beer ichnusa this went down well quenching my raging thirst from a morning walking in the mountains. I chose the beef steak not quite realising the size of the cut until it arrived at the table. I was glad I did not order any side dishes, they would have gone to waste. The steak was massive and cooked to perfection on the outside barbecue, the only way in this climate I guess. If you are passing through be sure to visit here for some food
great lunch in this very nice village and restaurant. very nice lunch and excellent foods at good price .

Food was average but big portions. Nice welcoming, we were the first clients. But one of the waitress did not even care if we understood italian... too much touristic, obviously due to the location near su nuraxi.. but one of the few restaurant open a monday in the area.
