We love Thai food but getting vegetarian is always a risk. This small restaurant understands vegan and provides very nice vegan dishes. Decent fresh food but it has little to do with authentic chinese food. Coming from Amsterdam where we have a china town I was really disapointed by the lack of flavor and the amount of deep frying. Even our sissling plate contained fried chicken as opposed to it being cooked on the plate. Summed up we thought the food was boring.

Walked nearly to the end of the beach to find this place buzzing with life. Nice cocktails right on the beach. Very busy so only downside was a bit manic for service. Cocktails were very nice! Cost was from 5 euros each.

I have visited Hong Kong in Torre Del Mar on a few occasions. The food has always been tasty and hot. We have always had a good service. There is an option to dine inside or outside. The menu choice is good with selections from traditional Chinese cuisine, sushi and some Thai.

Our second visit to this restaurant, once for lunch, once for dinner. Fixed price and eat as much as you want BUT this was not a help yourself buffet. You choose from a list of small dishes (mostly sushi, rice, noodles etc. but also tempura veg, salmon, other dishes and chips for the kids!) and the food is prepared for you. Plenty of veggie dishes. Just keep on ordering until you have had enough. Food is nicely presented, really tasty and fresh. Service is friendly, patient and helpful: English spoken. We had beer and juice with the meal, which were not hugely overpriced. Kids under 5 are free and older kids half price.The only thing to be aware of - and it does state this on the board outside the restaurant - VAT is not included in the stated price, so the bill will be bigger than anticipated. There is also an a la carte section at additional cost, but we didn't need this.For those critics who say this is not a "real" Japanese restaurant - I have visited various cities in Japan over a number of trips and found that quite a lot of authentic Japanese food may not be to European tastes - definitely not to mine (some of it great, some of it totally revolting!). I think that the Sakurai is run by non-Japanese people and this is a Spanish family seaside town, so if you want real Japanese go to Shinjuku, but if you want a tasty, inexpensive meal in pleasant surroundings give this a try,.

Once again we eat Menu del Dia and the Korma sauce was so strong today. It's rather big differents between the same dishes, time to time. But I like it anyway. The flavours is sooo goood. Papadam och then one of the Kormadishes with Rice and naan is something I loonging for.

We were looking for Sushi and we found it. It was creative fusion-style sushi and it was WONDERFUL and the service was spectacular! The waitress was warm friendly and personable. What a change from the normal Torre del Mar restaurants. We will definitely return and try other foods in ADDITION to more sushi! Keep up the wonderful service. Your waiter and waitresses are the best!!

We went there for my birthday lunch and it was amazing! We haven't been for a while so were happy to see the same owners and chef there so we knew it would be good. We had chicken satay skewers and a seafood salad to start. We asked for everything extra spicy and were not disappointed. The salad was excellent with melt in the mouth squid, muscles and king prawns - definitely one to try. We then had Pad Thai, crispy duck in a red curry sauce and sea bream in red thai curry sauce. Far too much but we took the rest away. The duck came with jasmine rice so no need to order rice. We will be back again very soon!Service was excellent as well.
