On our discovery tour for good restaurants, we were lucky to find this little known friendly place. The owner-manager Jose Antonio is an three decades long professional and expert in the field. Any selection or setting is in his good hands. It is hardly impossible to leave his place being disappointed. We eat here on one of our three nights in Archidona, the speciality lamb dish was well over cooked ( probably an earlier prepared dish re microwaved) the veg was clearly from a tin, and the frites greasy beyond belief. Not good, we won't return.

For a light cena, I chose a wonderful mixed salad (with tuna and the works) plus fried bacalao - cod. Very friendly service on a quiet Sunday evening. I also drank a bottle of Cruzcampo beer and a glass of Verdejo white wine. The total bill was â¬13 and I was totally full. What's not to like? Simple, good value food in Archidona.

Attentive waiter who served drinks very quickly and came with the menu just after the drinks arrived, beer served in ice cold glasses, we choose to eat on the patio, without the benefit of the air conditioning, we ordered and when our order was complete we were informed that the order was far too large for two persons, and the waiter was correct in his assumption.The meal was good and upto the normal Andalucian standard, followed by good coffee and all for less than 25⬠including a tip.We will return with guests

Second time I was here;together with my brother and sister-in-law. Last night before flighing home, after an unplanned weekend in Tapia ! I had the pork fillets and they were lovely ! I thought I had chosen one piece for only EUR 7,50, but I got 3 pieces of delicious meat on my plate with fried patatoes and green vegetables ! The entourage is friendly, almost homely and Father Manolo is so sweet ! I really hope that so many more people are going for diner here in the near future ! They will not be disappointed !

We visited the restaurant with friends who live close by and we were very pleasantly surprised. We opted for the menu del dia of which there was a large choice of both starters and main course. The portions were very generous, hot and well cooked. If there is any criticsm we did have to wait a while for the food but as one of our party had to leave early we were probably more concious of the time passing.

Read the reviews on trip advisor so thought we would give it a try . Salad starter was lovely and we had Lasagna for main meal it was nice but not lovely & my husband's was burnt all on top and they had covered it in white sauce so you could not see it . Wouldn't go again in a hurry .

Iâm afraid our tapas were very greasy. The bread also tasted slightly stale. The sangria had no trimmings. We wanted a real tapas experience so were not looking for fancy decor or anything, but that was a disappointing meal - by far, out worst one in 2 weeks in Spain. On the plus side, it was very reasonably priced, and out of the tourist trail.

We were recommended this restaurant that is situated a little bit outside town and weâre reluctant to go as we would rather walk to a restaurant So glad we wentOutstanding food and service at normal prices Lots of traditional dishes that taste incredibly better than they read, especially the goat and cabbage dishes.Would highly recommend
