We are devotees of the cuisine of central Italy. But, being coastal Californians, we began to feel withdrawal symptoms after a few weeks without truly fresh fish. Italian friends from Lake Como suggested we make the 1-hour trip to Civitanova in Le Marche and dine at Galileo. The restaurant is right on the beach and you can make a day of it by renting an umbrella and lounge chairs and catching some sun on the Adriatic shore either before or after a fantastic dining experience. The seafood choices were numerous, the preparation was perfect and the presentation matched that of the finest restaurants we have experienced. Chef Maria Rosa Tarantini and her husband, Stefano, own and operate the restaurant and the beach facility, including a snack and beverage 'shack' for those who prefer to eat in sunbathing attire and on the beach. The Waitstaff, Nicola and Simone, were welcoming and attentively engaging. We look forward to several return visits over the rest of the summer.

We have cultivated a dream for a long time, then we said let's do it! Here we are, we are pleased to welcome you in our Fish Bar, a place of northern European origin but decidedly Mediterranean in its realization. Our mission is in his As "The Muccigna" c
I love Fish Bar âLa Muccignaâ. In a âseaâ of seafood restaurants at Civitanova Marche all doing the same old thing, these guys have had the courage to do something different. Judging by how busy they are all year-round it must be working. Talk about courage, there's not a pasta dish on the menu! Know what? Nobody seems to be missing the pasta or any of the tired old dishes that are too easy to find in town. Fish Bar reminds me of a place on the coast in Southern California, about 25 years ago...a neighborhood place to enjoy some simply prepared, delicious fish dishes in a relaxed, unpretentious atmosphere with two owners, Giovanni and Elisabetta, that are the best...never failing to smile, welcome you and engage in conversation, even in the dog-days of August when they're constantly workiing. I love the props they pay to the Civitanovese heritage -- âLa Muccignaâ is a local dialet word that in the old days referred to the simple fish selection that remained for the fishing boat crew after the prized stuff had been sold. La Muccigna is all about simple being good, and simple is the winning formula here. Simple, welcoming interior, simple menu and simple preparation. The appetizers are simple...my favorite, the calamarata is a delicious dish of succulent calamari, grilled, with a sprinkle of sesame oil, on a base of cherry tomatoes and rucola. The main dishes range from a really nicely done fish burger to some outstanding grilled or pan-prepared salmon, sword and tuna dishes â any of which will satisfy. Fish Bar changes its menu seasonally so things are always freshened up. The nicest thing about Fish Bar's food is that it's all prepared with a light touch, obvious freshness and simple presentation. You never walk out of the Fish Bar âstuffed to the gillsâ, but you do leave feeling seriously satisfied and well treated. So, before you try all the âsame old same oldâ on the Civitanova lungomare, head over to Fish Bar and keep it simple.Ciao Kevin, you deserve the most enthusiastic reply.. so thanks, thanks, thanks! What can we say? One year ago everything was in our mind: Giovanni is definetely West-coasted-inspired and we strongly believed that even in a small Italian town it would have been possible to create the same atmosphere, and now..it works! And we are so thankful for all the people supporting us day by day, like you, and it's a pleasure for us to have the chance to talk about new ideas and new dishes! At this proposal, see you with the new menu: it starts on the weekend!Have a nice day, sincerely yours John and Elizabeth! :)

The most striking impression of this restaurant was the elaborate and dazzling presentation of the dishes. Individual dishes (such as entreés an desserts) were artistically laid out, and courses meant to be shared were presented on very large platters, groaning with delicious looking food. I am rarely swayed by the presentation of food, but on this occasion I think that it is worth a detour to eat there.I wish I could wax lyrical about the food as well, but while very good there were some downsides. The dishes were very tasty, but to extract that taste all of the oven roasted, or grilled dishes that we tried were covered in a bread crumb and herb mixture that while tasty was also heavy in (very good) olive oil. Apart from making all of the food taste very much the same, it was certainly not going to ensure a slim waist. I guess that you need to set your own priorities in judging which side you want loan towards. And I can't close this without mentioning the excellent pasta made before your eyes as you enter the restaurant. Prices were also quite reasonable.

We had an amazing time at La Lampara a couple of weeks ago. We had few starters, squid, mussels, clams, sea snails, beautifully well cooked,Then we had a seafood spaghetti, a dish full of flavour !I had as main course the mix of grilled seafood, perfectly cooked ! To accompanied our diner we drunk two different white wine very well recommended by the sommelier, a Chablis and a Verdicchio di Metalica. We had a beautiful dinner, I highly recommend La Lampara !Thank you to all the team !! And hopefully see you soon for an other beautiful dinner :)

From this philosophy the Maylea sushi bar is born, a small bar in the center of the promenade of Civitanova Marche . For the Japanese sensibility pleasure procured from food is made ââup of many components: visual, gustatory and tactile. Japanese cuisine
A very nice piece of Japan...simple as japanese restaurants are...quiet charming a place where you are very comfortable to be...but a precise cut of the fish...and traditional spices. Enjoyed to prove an italian Proseco to harmonize with japanese food. Have everyone out of Italy ever seem?????

We tried this restaurant on the previous TripAdvisor recommendations--and the owner was very aware of his TA status of serving high-quality food. We started our meal with complimentary appetizers. The owner was very personable and checked on us often. (I think that we were the only people in the restaurant who weren't "regulars". I think we were the only tourists in the entire town!) The seafood selections were fresh and delicious and we enjoyed everything that we tried. The wine list was extensive and featured wines from all over Italy. I would definitely return to the restaurant if I were ever in the area again.

Lo spada grill fish is link to the past through the retrò kitchen and to the future with the grill fish. The speciality of the restaurant is the grill fish. It is possible to find an extended wine bar.
We were looking forward to some good fresh fish and a relaxing lunch. What we got? Service so rapid my plate was cleared as soon as I had put my cutlery down and my husband was still eating and the next (hot) course arrived to sit cooling while my husband finished. The wine which was local (usually a good sign) was from a cantina I had never heard of and tasted of nothing. I didn't expect miracles as it was only 14 euros but I did expect some flavour of some kind. The cold antipasti were the best part but all the cooked anti pasti and the main were dry and overcooked. We had 2 mixed antipasti cold and hot and one grilled fish which arrived as not grilled but smothered in breadcrumbs, the prawns still had the poop shute in one and the spigola which had ostensibly been filletted was like cotton wool stuffed with pins and one insalata mista which arrived with no dressing and a bottle of oil and a salt grinder.. As we were first to arrive and the ristorante was empty for about 30 minutes they can't blame pressure of orders. We also had a bottle of water and 2 coffees and the bill came to 90 euros. I have paid a lot less for much better food on the coast.Very poor value for money and poor cooking.
