Lovely location to stop for a glass of wine or fresh juice and a plate of cold cuts and cheese. Friendly family run business. So helpful and kind. Speaks of the town in general. Very warm and welcoming community.

Would throughly recommend. Tiziana's food is always delicious and innovative (using local ingredients), Gabriele is a charming, charismatic host and their daughters are very hard workers. They are an excellent team. Advisable to book - it can get very busy. Menus are discussed with Gabriele at the head of the table and he will advise you of is on offer that nightWe have visited a few times and the food has always been consistently excellentA special mention has to be made to the pannicota with forest berries which has to be tried This is a combination of italian charm, love of food and hospitality at its best .

Homemade pasta and dessert, large selection of raw milk cheeses, local traditional cold cuts, vegetarian and gluten free menu.
We have been here on two occasions and have not been disappointed. The food is excellent, cooked to order with the freshest of ingredients. The house wine, whether red or white, is very drinkable and extremely good value. The waiter/owner is very friendly and efficient. This restaurant is well worth the drive.

Our 4th visit to this unique location and we never fail to be impressed by the quality of the food. Owner Silvano's passionate descriptions reflect the love that goes into preparing these traditional tastes of the region's history. Whilst not necessarily advocating visiting while a magnitude 6.1 earthquake happens barely 15km away, it certainly didn't makes us think of leaving after just 6 plates and the next 6 were equally delicious. The menu is set but vegetarians and vegans are willingly and competently catered for.

How anyone can call the food here 'simple' beats me. Doing simple this well is anything but straightforward or easy. The dishes to grab are mamma's homemade pastas. We've had amazing stuff here with truffles, nettles, wild funghi. It's a gem of a place. Swim across the lake afterwards to work off the calories.

I live in Foligno. I have eaten at Ristorante Il Cavaliere several times so this gives me a unique perspective of this restaurant. This last week, I was fortunate to host some of my colleagues from the U.S. for dinner. One of my Italian colleagues who grew up in Foligno also joined us. Let me just say that we were all incredibly impressed by the service and quality of the food. Here's why Il Cavaliere is so good: 1) The staff is knowledgeable and helpful. They are well-trained and flexible. There's no fussing if you order 1/2 plates or want something out of the ordinary. 2) All the food is served in the simplest of ways (very Umbrian). The quality of the products themselves are what make each dish special. The appetizers are delicious (and there are a lot of them). I highly recommend ordering the large appetizer which includes a wide variety of local meats, cheeses and other delightful things. The truffles and scrambled eggs is one of the best things I've ever eaten!!! 3) There's a very good atmosphere in this restaurant. You aren't rushed and the staff seems to be delighted that you're enjoying your meal. So much of what's great about this restaurant is it's simplicity and perfect treatment of local foods. If you're this area, Il Cavaliere is a must. Good morning very kind Mr L, thank you for your wonderful review. We are flattered by the beautiful words of appreciation. A cordial greeting from all of us.PaulHotel ristorante il cavaliere

I was addressed here by some friends of mine who told me they cooked really well... and I must say they were absolutely right. The food is delicious, especially the wild boar, in the menu you can find both classics and "strange"... such as tagliatelle with nettle, very delicate. Exceptional also the cut of beef with balsamic vinegar.2 starters, 4 main courses, one main dish and dessert, we spent 75 â¬, it is not a cheap place, but the food, the atmosphere and the landscape, are worth all the money you spend.

We have twice stayed at Roccamaia. Set at the top of a hill just outside Pievebovigliana it offers a small number of simple modern rooms and is a popular venue with the locals for both lunch and dinner. We enjoyed beautiful pasta and meat dishes and a heavenly dessert of ricotta with honey (from hives just below the agriturismo) and nuts. Breakfast was very simple and the owner very friendly and helpful. Prices are very attractive. A great place to immerse yourself in the peaceful surroundings of the Sibillini mountains. There are good walks in the neighbourhood some starting at the agriturismo.

PROSLocations is wonderful and price is really competitive.Perfect place for families and spending time in the nature.CONSMaybe it was because of the Easter Time and it is never a good idea to get restaurants in these occasions. But food was nothing special, far away from the Italian traditional taste we are used to have. Especially in this kind of country house, food is usually something delicious. And service was not good too: 2 hours time to eat, waiter standing all time behind me because of there was another shift after mine one: not the way to enjoy a meal in the country house.Good place to get to, but missed the concept of Italian Country House, in my opinion.

The farm is surrounded by oak trees in the heart of the Sibillini Mountains. Our strength lies in the close connection to the territory: in fact the raw materials come from our crops and farms. The family-style cuisine enhances the traditional flavors: ha
This is a restaurant tucked away gown a track with the only sign being a rough handwritten sign off the main road.Great for children as there is a big play area within view of outside seating. There is no choice but there is no need! Huge plates of delicious ham, salami, sausage, followed by a very worth bean soup and then chops/steak and a pud - with wine for four adults and two children, just 120 euros!
