Nice decor, good food in large enough portions. Very good pulpo with simple and natural flavors (olive oil, paprika, sea salt). Rollo de bonito in tomato sauce was very good too, as was the monkfish in sauce. Desserts were good (not spectacular): tarta de café and a roscón de Vilalba (an almond tort). 2 glasses of Albariño and a bottle of water and a coffee: 66â¬. There are cheaper places, but Os Pios is quite pleasant for a modest splurge.

We wanted to visit the Lugo city museum but we're hungry. A museum guard recommended this small place just across the square. The staff were friendly and happily explained which dishes on the day's fixed price luncheon menu did not contain gluten. The pork chops were tender and tasty, the salad dressing simple but divine.

This place is wonderful. The food was fantastic and the surrounds are beautiful. We were taken here by minibus from the wedding in Lugo Town Hall. It is about a 15 minute drive from town.It is an old water mill.

If not for trip-advisor and other guides, as a visitor to Lugo you would miss-out on locations like this one. In an unsuspicious street, behind a nice entrance you'll find a bar, and in the back a large busy restaurant - reservations are helpful. Great food and service.

Stepping into this restaurant was magical. It is in an old house and is decorated with many Galician antiques. The owner said that it is a home-business that has been in the family for 4 generations. We have two young girls under age 5. I was a little worried that it would be too formal for them, but the waiter was great at taking away the breakable glasses, centerpiece. the atmosphere was relaxed enough that we all had a great time. Mix of backpackers, travelers, and locals. Go early around 1:30pm or make a reservation. Food was delicious. I loved the tortilla de gambas.

Is not in the old city center surrounded by big walls but it pays a visit! Excellent food!!! The tempura is not specially interesting. The provolone was tasty but very simple made in the oven with some mushrooms. The rice was delightful, well cooked, tasty and we ate it all! Homemade desserts... original and tasty: we loved âEsenciaâ with pistacchio and black tea icecream!

This is one of the best Assador Restaurants that I have experienced. Their specialty is the fresh Lamb al horno which is superb. Also great appetizers like Chipirones en su tinta, tomate slices with ventresca de Atún, olive oil, opinion, Modena vinegar. Great wine cellar.Expensive, but excellent. Free parking. It is about 15 minutes from Lugo city. José Campo, CHA

We are here several times whilst staying in Baamonde during our Camino. The staff were really friendly and the food was great. Everything is cooked fresh and really affordable. The orange juice and scrambled eggs were delicious, the best we had during our Camino. Visit if you can!
