This is an old trattoria that has been around for many years and originally catered to fishermen of the nearby port of Viareggio. The clientele has somewhat changed but locals are still predominant. We enjoyed very much the "caciucco", the local fish soup with chunks of fish. The seafood salad was also very good. Not a fancy place but a straight cuisine.

We had problem with finding a restaurant for lunch on Monday and after 4 unsuccessful calls came across this place.To be honest, both of us were really happy we came for lunch here. It tasted so delicious: pasta was amazing, seafood was fresh and well cooked. Great seafood restaurant with freshly made pasta.Only minus was that they had no tea and sometimes we had to wait to get attention of staff.Dear Customer, we thank you for your wonderful review and for taking the time to write it. Everytime i fly to Italy I land in Pisa around 12.30pm giving me the opportunity to stop at Romano for lunch......what can i tell about this place....everything is perfect and the food extraordinary .By the way Romano is good friend of Sirio Maccioni owner of Le Cirque in NYC ( he told me about this place) .

From the outside you wouldn't give it a buck: it seams more a bar than a tavern. The staff is great and the service super. On saturday nights, especially on high season, you need to book a table in advance. Good and tasty food. Though the price isn't exactly a tavern price, it's worth.

Back at La Corteccia for two evenings. Pasta, meat and wine list very good. The owner really cares about his wines which come at perfect temperature (very rare in the summer!) from a special cellar. Pasta and salumi very good, steaks and lamb simply excellent. My wife and I really like the place and will certainly visit La Corteccia again in the near future.

This is my third time in Toscana, I've tried so many restaurants! But "Giusto di Sale" made me come back many times - the home atmosphere, unbelievable cooking, everything is very fast and delicious; very cozy and stylish. Gianluca - the owner is a very nice and polite, he suggested so many tasty and real traditional things! He talks a very good English! My family and i fell in love with this beautiful place! Next time we are here, "Giusto di Sale" will be the first time I visit!!! Thank you for making to feel Toscana like our home! Thank you very much Kate!! It was a pleasure to welcome you and your nice family in my restaurant. Maybe we are not the best restaurant in Tuscany but we always do everything possible to make our guests feel right at home.
