Word of mouth from the local villagers led us to Barchetto. They knew what they were talking about. It's a fabulous setting and the service was very attentive, helpful and efficient. We only looked at the seafood options and were very pleased with our meals. The entree with 6 different tastings was absolutely delicious.

This is a very small restaurant with excellent food and service. We were extremely satisfied with everything we had and the service. Only four tables but wonderful food, magnificent service, and very reasonable prices. A leader of house wine was only seven euros and the meals were also very reasonably price. We had lamb chops and trout. We had an appetizer of salmon sashimi and asparagus with a cheese mousse. Everything was prepared and seasoned wonderfully and the people could not be more friendly. I would highly recommend this to be on your list if youâre in the area. The small size indicates reservation to avoid disappointment.

Recommended by a local chef as her favorite restaurant in Barga. We enjoyed a long lunch for two on Sunday. Starters were flavorful. Warm bruschetta with cheese and truffle was scrumptious! Hand carved prosciutto was just the right balance of sweet and salty. The leek flan was tender and tasty. We ordered and shared two first courses. The risotto with fresh vegetables and the tagliolini with eggplant, pine nuts and cherry tomatoes. Both were cooked perfectly, fresh and flavorful. Parmesan was served without our having to ask. Blueberries are in season. We choose the ricotta blueberry torta. Perfect with a nice caffe to end a great meal!

We visited Trovaposo which was recommended by an Italian lady working in our hotel. Really good place for pizza. They also have other Italian food, but we only ordered pizza. This is a typical Italian restaurant family fully consistent with our conceptions, as it should look like a family pizza restaurant in a small Italian village. and to do so in the best possible way. Very nice traditional interior, nice, but not intrusive service ... delicious pizza. I recommend to all pasing nearby Barga!

Ate here on Sunday with friends. All four of us like different things, so we gave the menu a bit of a working over. Everything was great, and the service was relaxed, friendly and efficient. Didnât break the bank either!

Wonderful, wonderful food. Great service and just a fantastic evening. The best filet I've ever had in my life is US $15. House wine is fantastic, and the owner's daughter waits on you. My only wish is that we didn't find this place on our last night in town, because we would have eaten here every night! If you're staying at the Renaissance hotel, come here for your meals. It's so much more authentic, and half the price. Note: we also saw the opening time of 5:00pm that the prior commenter mentioned. This is a Google error though. The restaurant never mentions this anywhere. They may want to contact Google to get it corrected, but it's certainly not there fault :) The restaurant opens at 7:30 like every other one in town.
