Been to Pampas with some friends for an informal evening out. Very central in Livorno, close to the old harbor and the town center, Pampas has adopted a very good formula. Although a menu a la carte is available, the best way to enjoy its services is to get the set menu, which is starters (seafood and meat), and 3 samples of pastas. Large helpings. The host can therefore keep prices to the minimum, while offering very good quality food. The menu depends of the fresh fish available. Wine is available both by the measure otherwise a choice is available. All very good vale.Friendly staff, prompt service, with no hurry, the tables are rather close as the room is not too big, but always very crowded with locals. Out of the holiday season, a set menu for lunch is available at little cost. The ambience is informal, and given the crowd, it is more suited for groups than romantic evenings or foursomes, but if you are 6 or more you are likely to get a very good dinner or lunch for a very very reasonable price. Booking is recommended. Parking in the area is available in nearby parking lots, a short walk away, which is pleasant given the surroundings.A very good idea for a pleasant evening with friends and good food.

A unique rustic experience awaits you in this out of the way restaurant. Huge portions of fresh mussels and soft fried fish provide an ample starter for everyone, add to this a gifted bowl of chickpeas with smoked mackerel meant we were almost full before we began. The staff have an excellent knowledge of the menu and are more than happy to help you make a choice. Wine comes in carafes and is good value, water flows freely all night! We took a good two hours in a marathon night of eating and we were not disappointed by any of the food. It can get a bit hot inside so dress appropriately in the summer months

Picturesque restaurant on the water front, close to the ferries terminals, where I think the fishermen boats still rest, very protected from any car noise, with a nice terrasse from which to enjoy the sunset...if you can detach your eyes from the wonders in your plates!!My husband and I had our toes curling with pleasure starting with a fresh plateau of crustacés (sea food, don't be misled by the name of "crudites" used imstead) for two including some interesting surprises...We then took the gnocchis with sea urchins and the invention of the owner: an extraordinary tuna fish filet with caramelized onions and an extraordinary parmiggiano ice cream.Look in the little basket on your table. You will find the indispensable olive oil but also soya sauce if you wish.We loved the place!! We will return!Un moment de plaisir des papilles dans un cadre charmant, face au port et au coucher de soleil. On a adoré! Attendez-vous à de bonnes surprises dans l'assietteThanks, thanks very much... enjoy your travell... and come back!!!

100% gluten free restaurant , we prepare daily home made fresh pasta such as ravioli, tagliolini, gnocchi etc... You can also find a very good selection of GLUTEN FREE BEER from all over the world . OPEN FOR DINNER AND LUNCH.
We saw this restaurant on Tripadvisor, so decided to see if we could find it. To be honest, it is a bit hidden, but we came across it, looked at the menu, made a reservation for a little later (we were too early), then went back after a walk in the park. It was probably the best meal we had in five days in Italy. We're not gluten intolerant, but our granddaughter is a vegetarian, and I don't eat meat or seafood, so we have to look at menus carefully. Everything we had was lovely, the service was friendly, and the atmosphere was nice. We would definitely recommend it.

Friday night in Livorno. Where to go? TripAdvisor suggested Il Fischietto. What an excellent choice. Local flavour on all elements Very original setting. All surrounded by Italians. Menu on a black board. Had prosciutto and cheese for starters. Ravioli with cottage cheese for first course. Gamberoni and fruit salad for second. And the homemade tiramisu for dessert. All of them excellent Served with fluency and kindness by the hostsThat was an incomparable experience to be warmly recommended

This restaurant is famius for its fish dishes however we prefered some meat dishes which found to be delicious. It is always crowded so it would be a good idea to have a reservation. The prices are good, about 40⬠per person with wine. As most restaurants in Italy they don't speak English but the staff is really polite and do its best to serve you.

La Casina di Alice is a very nice restaurant in the centre of Livorno. The waiters are always friendly, the food is good and well presented (and very innovative too!), and the place is quiet and cozy. As my brother lives in Livorno, every time I visit him we have either lunch or dinner there. We always get out of there satisfied! Once we also met the owners, a couple with a baby (Alice!) and they are very friendly as well. Super-recommended!

This restaurant is a little aways from the train station/city center but offers a great view of another section of Tuscany! I guess you would expect that such a restaurant at this location would be overpriced with mediocre food, but we were pleasantly surprised by both! Two words of caution, we almost didn't get seated on the patio because we came at 3 pm. There is no "warning" on the restaurant's website so plan to eat lunch earlier in the afternoon. Second, getting a cab from the restaurant back to the city (or in our case the train station) takes a bit f time and we ended up missing our train. So just another thing to plan accordingly for ahead of time.

Went here for dinner, we were 15 minutes early but got ourselves seated outdoor. Once the doors opened the staff looked a bit strange to us and asked if we had a reservation (which we had not). Anyway, we were allowed to stay and we got menu's and a bottle of water. We ordered a starter and a main. Starter was raw fish, one 3 (salmon, cod and tuna) and tuna with small salad. A (pretty big) bread basket was served and after 20 minutes the starters were served. The cubes of fresh raw tuna were huge! Also the quality was very very good. Lean cuts of tuna sashimi with citron and olive oil. Also the 3 -types of raw fish sashimi were vey well made up. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food here. Slowly the place started filling up as well, outside was for around 70% full an inside for more than a half. Inside is quite big, we did not see the inside till we left as there was another entrance at that side (and we entered via the terrace). We both ordered the same main dish. A local "livornian" cod dish with potatoes and tomato sauce. The cod was breaded and covered in sauce with potatoes. The taste of this dish was also more than perfect. We ordered tiramisu as dessert and after another drink we left. Staff was ok but I would say they could be a little more friendly, won't say it was bad (not at all) but they could do better. Maybe it had to do with the fact we just got ourselves seated at the terrace before they opened (don't know, but there was no one so what was the other choice). Anyway if I ever return to Livorno this one is on the list!
