On this misty/rainy evening, this was a cozy place for a good dinner. Great pizza (two sizes, 9 and 12; the 9 was more than enough for me), good selection of pasta and other main dishes, salad options, good wine menu.

This restaurant is located in an old church so the atmosphere is very charming. Our lasagna, salad, and mini garlic rolls were delicious. The lasagna was some of the best weâve had in Ireland. The service was good and we would definitely eat here again if in the area.

Really looked forward to this visit but I am a little underwhelmed .Maybe we visited in the quiet season but the choice of starters was very limited.Having said that the pizza I had was one of the best I have ever tasted and I know my fellow diners enjoyed their food as well.I am confused when I read the other reviews , as we saw no sign of seafood options>.Laura was a delightful host and the service was excellant.We will have to go back again but maybe in a defferant season.

Visited here on few occasions and keep forgetting to review... Last meal was Sunday lunch and have to say it exceeded all visits, perfect portion size and great value.Had a few evening meals and then had the Sunday lunch for â¬25 which was great value and was of equal size ,tasty and exactly same as evening meal but at fraction of price but then tats the evening versus midday lunch. Nice setting and friendly staff. Just pity they took the lamb with cous cous off the menu !

The food is always good - wonderful pastas and pizzas - just a pity I never have room left for dessert! The service is very good and I love getting the bread and olives to start. It's a wee bit on the pricey side but it's great for a treat.

We booked this restaurant for my birthday meal whilst on holiday visiting family. We had booked a table as it was a saturday night & we were greeted with a waitress that was busy and running around and didn't seem interested in us at all. We were told to sit on a sofa and read through a menu and she said she'd return to take our drinks order. About 15 mins later we called over a different waitress who took our drinks and food order and went to walk off ( we were still sat on a sofa). We asked if we could be seated at a table and she just pointed at a table in the corner so we sat there. There is a severe lack of customer service and friendliness. We ate a starter of calamari which was nice and then had pizza and spaghetti bolognese - both tasty and of good quality. For dessert we shared a Tiramisu which didn't taste of much and there was a layer of cocoa powder on top it an inch thick, which choked me with the first spoonful. The prices are a little high - 48 euros for 1 starter, 2 mains, 1 dessert and a coke and small glass of wine. We wouldn't return or recommend this place - lack of customer service, setting is outdated and they were also playing strange europop music!

My second visit to sligoThis time sans children...We had a great experience here for lunch previously with our children, we thought we z.We had an antipasto classico to start... My word... Biggest portion of antipasto I've ever had!! Great selection of Italian cheese and cured meats along with breads, veg and frittatiI had the special, tricolor of pasta with Italian sausage and ricotta ... I've had occassion to eat in the Strand a few times over the last month or so, lunch, pizza and takeaway pizza. It's a lovely cosy pub with blazing fire and lots of little nooks and crannies. The staff are lovely and friendly. Lunch was nice (we just had sandwiches/panini) Pizza the night before was also pretty good, but they got our order badly wrong and one of our party was waiting 20 minutes for her pizza. Rather than reduce the bill somewhat as a gesture of goodwill, they actually charged us extra for toppings we never received! The did eventually remove the offending items but it was a bit of a battle. The takeaway pizza we got a few weeks previously was 'ok' the base was nice but it was lacking in toppings and flavour we found. Also, they charge the same for the pizza whether you eat in or takeaway, so it leaves it pricey for a takeaway. Overall, I would say it's a lovely place to go for drinks, with friendly staff, food is pretty good, but the customer service with the pizza put me off a little bit

Visited here because of the reviews. Not the most appealing premises from the outside and inside could do with a good scrub. For starters we shared a Caprese with fresh burrata cheese......it was simply amazing!! Fresh, tasty and beautifully presented with some focaccia bread on the side. The pizza slices were a let down, quite doughy and stodgy. We were sorry we didnât go for pasta as the dishes being served at nearby tables looked great. Reasonable selection of Italian beer and wine. All in all an average meal greatly redeemed by a truly delicious starter.
