My two friends and I enjoyed a delicious three course meal from the early bird menu last night. It was perfectly cooked, beautifully presented and incredible value for money. Wine by the glass was served in very generous portions compared to some restaurants Iâve been to recently. We had a lovely night and really enjoyed the food and hospitality.

End in Lennons after checking trip for Carlow. Not the easiest to find but a pleasant surprise way eventually we got there, outside seating area and spacious room, short menu with daily specials explain "vaguely" by our waitress. Excellent starters of chicken liver pate (generous) and crab/fish (a tad expensive for amount) only one main of panko chicken which was too cooked and dry, again good portion but uninteresting mayo and tasteless salad, chips ok only, dessert quite heavy. Overall, could be better, more friendly/homy and more care in the kitchen, all these things easily rectified to get a better experience

I have absolutely no problem in recommending this restaurant, I had a chicken wrap with salad and it was the best I have ever had. The staff are lovely and friendly and could not do enough for us. I will definitely be visiting again

A warm welcome awaited us on our arrival .Restaurant was very busy but we were seated in seconds. The extensive menu had something to suit all tastes. I opted for the pan fried Hake while herself waded into a delicious chicken dish. No complaints.

A simply special place to go for a lovely, refined evening out. The dinner was lovely, from the reception to decor, service, food and wine. We really enjoyed our evening, and couldn't recommend it highly enough. A beautiful experience. I wish more restaurants were like this one! A right find.

After trying several cafes and restaurants in Carlow and being quite a critical eater, I arrived in the quaint town of Ballon with a sense of optimism procured by the positive reviews Iâd read about Cafe De Mode. I parked at the community centre in Ballon and walked through a stunning secret garden which led to a church adjacent to the well-known Virgin Mary Grotto. It was refreshing to see a few interesting sights in such a quiet town. Arriving at Cafe De Mode, one cannot be impressed by the chic exterior, especially the font and sign which already led me to believe that this cafe was meticulous when it came to the fine points, oozing professionalism. The interior amplified the feeling that the owner and staff wanted this visit not just to be about the food served, but an experience as a whole. The old wooden tables and fantastic lighting display harmoniously joins the old fashioned and the modern. The staff were attentive and extremely friendly. I was warmly greeted before my order was taken and could not have asked for a more professional waitress. I ordered a two cheese bacon bap, which was described as a âsignature sandwichâ, and a skinny flat white. The sandwich was absolutely stunning and the ingredients, such as cranberry sauce and apple, led me to believe that a large amount of thought had gone into the making of it. It came with a delightful side salad. The price was extremely reasonable for a sandwich packed with ingredients.My experience in this cafe was way above any experience Iâve had in any cafe in Carlow and in Ireland for that matter. After buying coffee and food during our long cycling journey my friends and I were refused water on "health and safety" grounds. Manager/owner was very intimidating to me. My club will not be revisiting.

The Riverbank is a real gem slightly off Tullow town centre but right by the river on the way to Mount Wolsey. Enough about the location. The food! Absolutely the best chicken salad EVER. It was a Kaleidoscope of colour and flavor (thatâs if you can have such a flavor). Absolutely loved it. Donât miss it if your in Tullow

The restaurant has recently been renovated it looks SPECTACULAR. It is very MODERN and welcoming with COMFY CHAIRS that are calling my return.The MENUE choice is very BROAD with an intriguing range of dishes on offer. FRIENDLY STAFF and DELICIOUS FOOD I enjoyed the farmhouse pizza while my company ordered the vegetable curry which was âvery tastyâ.
