Could not recommend this restaurant highly enough for excellent food and service. Olive in particular is such an exceptional friendly waitress, always on hand to recommend something really special, like todays quiche which was so tasty and well presented. Definitely worth a visit.

A small American-Diner style cafe on the outskirts of New Ross. Ample parking for cars and caravans after a long journey. Serving homemade, fresh Irish food for breakfast and lunch.
This diner is still as good as always.. Plenty of selection on offer.. No small portions r fancy garnish just good proper Irish fresh food.. Full dinner for â¬10.50 and dessert for â¬4.50 and its as good or even better that any fancy 5* restaurant. Staff are very pleasant and friendly and helpful.. If I could give more stars I would.. Located in Irishtown, New Ross, The Holy Grail Restaurant offers World Cuisines specializing in Indian, Asian and European dishes. Gluten free options, Dairy free options & vegetarian friendly.
I had a lamb madras, it was tasty enough, but there was this niggling feeling i was eating a Hungarian goulash, that particular type of creamy consistency and flavour, it had its merits and certainly better than many other Indian restaurants, not madras hot either. Now I really know my curries so I may be being a bit fussy, apparently the chef is in fact from Pakistan, but did he live in Germany or middle Europe for a while? I asked and they said no.Dear 468henryt,Thank you for reviewing our food and i would like to take this opportunity to clear some of your thoughts.Firstly, our chefs are NOT from Pakistan which you state it as a fact; in-fact they are from South India from which Madras dishes originate. Both our chefs were trained & worked in the renowned Five star hotel- The Taj Group of hotels for 10 years. The chefs haven't lived anywhere else in Europe other than Ireland. The Madras dishes cooked in our restaurant are exactly how we cook at home- finished in coconut milk with roasted spices and hint of acidity (either lemon juice or tamarind) and medium spiced . there is this notion that all madras dishes are exceptionally hot with a lot of chillies and paprika and we beg to differ! Unless requested by the customer, all our dishes are medium spiced to allow the flavors to work through rather than the overpowering spice.we are glad that you enjoyed the dish nevertheless.kind regardsParvathi & Shijo

Have visited here numerous occasions. When we have friends or family visiting we book a table and bring them because it never fails to impress. Weâve been with friends, weâve dragged family there, weâve gone by ourselves...any excuse really! The staff are friendly and attentive without being intrusive, the food is always delicious and there is a really lovely atmosphere here. The menu changes quite frequently so you are never tempted to go elsewhere for variety and the portion sizes are generous. To be honest I canât fault it.
