This was our second meal at President's Bar in less than a week. The first meal was fine (Tuesday the 3rd). Tonight (Thursday the 5th) the service was absolutely pathetic, bordering on shocking. The only pleasant person was a young man who served some of our food. The young women who were servers were beyond disinterested and showed zero warmth and zero interest in being quality servers. At one point I started choking as my tiny glass of water had gone empty and no one bothered to notice so we had to inquire about more water. We are on holiday and have very few weeks off per year so every meal we eat out we want to be special and of a very high standard. We thus seek out quality establishments and don't mind paying for quality food. We are generous tippers in the US and tip well in Ireland when we receive good service. Needless to say, we left no tip tonight and it absolutely ruined our evening to be treated with disdain. We are very quiet, pleasant, friendly restaurant patrons and always make an effort to engage waitstaff and treat them with great respect and interest. Moreover, we are both 50 and have been around the block so we know proper etiquette and how people should be treated and treat others with kindness. It should be noted that we have travelled Ireland extensively in the past twenty years and never once had an experience like this. The waitstaff working tonight needs to be reprimanded. If they don't like their jobs, they should not be working with the public. The young women tonight seemed frankly like spoiled brats who had absolutely no interest in providing a quality experience for people who work hard for their vacations and deserve to be treated with kindness and warmth. We are thoroughly gobsmacked at easily the worst experience ever service-wise in Ireland in literally hundreds of meals.

All of our breads are stone-baked daily in our bread oven and contain nothing but salt, water, flour and natural leaven or a fresh yeast culture. no preservatives. no chemicals. just nature. All our flours are grown and milled by our friends at The Little
Have eaten here twice. Menu is great, such a large selection of breads and treats. Perfect for brunch with friends

We went today for lunch and were so disappointed at the standard of food that was served. My husband ordered the stew and literally had to search for the meat! I ordered a chicken burger which was burnt and riddled with so much garlic that it actually burned! Burnt oven chips added insult to injury - wont be returning and would not recommend.

The Grapevine Tapas Bar is Kilkenny's favourite casual dining venue.Great food, music and service.
After 900pm on a Wednesday there wsnt much open. The service was friendly and the food was fine- not great, but frankly when I think of Ireland Tapas isnt what comes to mind. Had a selection of things from shrimp to crostini to greek salad to grilled veggies and a couple more. 5 in total + bottle of wine for 64e. We left full. No real complaints just werent wowed by anything we ate

Zuni Restaurant, Bar and Boutique hotel is located on Patrick Street in Kilkennys City Centre. The building operated as a theatre from 1902 to the late 1960s and was opened as a Restaurant, Bar and Boutique Hotel by Paul and Paula Byrne of Zuni in 2000. T
We were staying next door and wanted a special place to celebrate a birthday. We ate in the bar area so it was casual but the food was exceptional and the service delightful. Would be very happy to recommend this as a terrific place to eat and it did not break the bank.
