Reviews on Cafe food in Courtown, Province of Leinster, Ireland. Courtown (Irish: Baile na Cúirte, meaning "homestead of the court"), is a village which developed after Lord Courtown ordered the construction of a harbour during the Famine years, 1839-1846. The economic boost of the new harbour led to a small village developing with fishing been the primary economy of the village. Courtown is situated on the Irish Sea coast and with the recent development during the "Celtic Tiger" years, has merged into the adjoining village of Riverchapel. It lies on the R742 regional road.

We've been a few times and it's always packed, so get there before 1pm if you can (it closes at 4pm). Breakfast is excellent, as are any of the dishes. Lovely, helpful and friendly staff, who are certainly kept on their toes! Congrats to everyone. A lovely place to eat and a great choice of dishes. ENJOY!
Coffee training needed order a cappuccino was aweful got a 0.4cm foam on top and coffee was to hot think it was an americno tbh but sure . clean and welcoming place tho
It was a very hectic busy Sunday carvery. Perfect for people with large appetites and large families who just want somewhere to eat without paying too much. The hotel also has a dining room, where I wish we had paid extra for added comfort and a better dining experience.

Dropped in to Partridges for lunch today and was very impressed with everything. Quirky decor, lively atmosphere. We were seated and had food all within 15 minutes. I opted for the open sambo with prawns and smoked salmon. Incredible amount of food on the plate- all fantastic quality. Chips and coffee included and altogether was 12.50 - great value and a thoroughly enjoyable meal.

Great food, friendly and efficient staff, mouth watering baked goods. If you like to eat where the locals eat, then Joanne's Cafe is for you. The place was packed but service is fast, efficient, and very friendly. We had the lasagne.....so good!!! Great place for a quick bite, a full meal, or baked goods to go. Loved it!!

Service was abselutely apalling!! Ordered coffees that never came. Had to ask twice before the waitresses woke up. They were busy washing glasses and mugs just to stay on top of a half empty restaurant. Food was nothing special. Fries very greasy and scone was rock solid. Never got served a bottle of water after asking twice. A massive wakeup call is needed. Would not be coming back anytime soon.

Quirky cafe & bistro in the heart of Gorey town, catering to all families, tourists and locals, home cooked menu, bookshop on site, atmospheric and friendly. All food freshly prepared and locally produced
This is a buzzy, friendly cafe in a bookshop or possibly the other way round. When we were there it was a busy lunchtime but the staff were friendly and not harassed. It's an extensive menu for a cafe of its size and the food is good and wholesome. And then there is the very nice bookshop for browsing.
