Have just had a super dinner here. We dropped by, intending to get just soup, but the queue at the soup/sandwich counter was crazy. There just werenât enough staff serving behind the counter and the queue got longer and longer. We bailed out and abandoned it an went around to the other side where they were serving hot dinners at the carvery. The food here is just excellent, you couldnât complain about it; it is wholesome, fresh, and there is plenty of it. We had two meals â one chicken, one turkey, with absolutely loads of fresh vegetables, topped off with gravy. It was so good I could just lie down under my desk now and go to sleep! The prices here have crept up steadily and we were disappointed to discover that the Benefitz discount card facility has been withdrawn. That is really a pity. Still, we enjoyed our meal, and this place is always busy. We will come back again.

Kildares newest restaurant , chilled out vibe great food made with local fresh ingredients by award winning chef owner Aidan Kelly in a rustic and laid back modern dining experience
we dropped in here for lunch with no great expectations, the service was excellent and unlike so many eateries the chicken wings had loads of chicken on them. their soup was excellent with very tastie chips. will be back for a night meal having since heard great reviews of their steaks. both bar and retaurant staff were excellent.

Our party of six adults stayed in Calverstown for the June Bank Holiday weekend and came into Kilcullen for a quick bite on the Friday evening. Had to wait about 10 minutes for a table as the pub was rocking. Had a mix of chicken tagliatelle, chicken stir fry and fish and chips. Plenty of food and so good that we came back in on the Sunday evening for dinner. A bit longer wait this time as pub was again full to the brim. This time opted for chicken wings, baby back ribs and stuffed potato skins to start, followed by sirloin steaks, fish and chips and roast chicken for mains. Had eton mess for dessert. Absolutely delicious meal and served with a smile and a bit of craic by our lovely waitress, Linda. Everything is cooked fresh here so you might have to wait a little but its well worth the wait. Couldn't recommend Bardons high enough. Every meal we saw going out looked better than the one before and every table was full. Speaks for itself really. A popular spot with very pleasant staff and the prices are very reasonable. Thanks to Eddie for fitting us in on such a busy night.

Perhaps my title says it all. The staff were cheerful and friendly, and our waiter made some good suggestions for activities after he had learned our interests. My wife had a marvelous sweet potato soup, and my ribeye was done to perfection. This was one of our best restaurant experiences this trip.
