It's all in the name....we keep it simple, Steak and Shellfish, but we do them right! It's about the best dry aged Irish beef and the best Live Irish Lobsters with great beer, wine and cocktails surrounded by good people and good energy. All this cooked b
To start I had the duck wings which were beyond crispy to the point of being charcoal. Massively over cooked, deeply disappointing. My partner had the lobster and crab fritters which were similarly over cooked (not to the same degree) and lacked flavour. Not a good start. For a main, I had the burger. It was piping hot. The cheese was tasteless, the bacon was over cooked to the extent of having literally no flavour. The meat was good quality, the patty was thick and over cooked and dry. The whole thing was overwhelmed by the fairly tasty sauce on the bottom half of the bun. The burger was mounted with a large whole pickle which may have been the highlight. For the main, My partner had the crab claws and prawns. The claws were described in the menu as âgiantâ and they were absolutely not. There were five small claws. The dish was dominated by absolutely normal, nothing-to-write-home-about prawns. The sauce was tasty, but couldnât rescue the dish. My partner asked for a slice of bread for the sauce and was charged for a portion of toasted sourdough with tapenade - which doesnât make sense. The Bill, including a beer, a margarita and a bottle of sparkling water, came to about â¬87. Truffle & Parmesan fries (which almost certainly had no relationship with truffle oil) and onion rings were extra - no sides came with the mains. This wasnât good. There are better places to eat within a stoneâs throw. The two dots Iâve given were for the service. The woman who served us was gracious and friendly. Hi There,Many thanks for this very honest feedback. I was sorry to hear that you had a negative experience and appreciate you taking the time to provide feedback. We realise it does not make your experience any better, but hope for your understanding.

OMG why is this not in the US. Caught a train out to Malahide - did the castle and little train etc, great day and topped off with the most wonderful GLUTEN FREE Fish and Chips. My children were in heaven. This place has it down - separate areas for the normal and the gluten free - so easy and delicious. There are a few of these around Dublin I discovered later. Well Done - Friendly, Helpful Staff. Loved ItHi megajustnj, Thanks for taking the time to review us! We're delighted to have been part of your trip to Malahide and even more so to know how much you and your kids enjoyed your orders :) We hope you'll visit us again!Kind regards, Beshoff Bros

Friendly neighborhood pub with excellent food. Traditional Irish dishes as well as seafood and steak.
Came here yesterday (22nd) for a meal with the wife for my birthday. When we walked we were greeted my waitress (didnt catch her name) she was smiling and friendly. She asked if we had a reservation which we didnt but she still got us a table. The food was delicious especially my nachos oh my God best nachos ever. I had the burger and the wife had the pasta. Nice size portions but not to big. I had two pints of Guinness which were beautiful and poured perfectly. I'll definitely be back soon and be recommending to all.

VERY professionally run. The manager/waiter we interacted with worked hard to earn our business, even before we entered the restaurant. Not my favorite meal in Ireland but it was quite obvious that the staff and kitchen work very hard, competing with a host of other Malahide offerings. The entrees here were good although some recipes seemed less Italian/mediterranean than others... but I'm good with that. When you're part of a group, tastes will inevitably vary. Their menu and specials attempt to offer something for everyone. I very much admire the effort put forth by this establishment.
