At Earth & Vine, our philosophy is simple. We want our dishes to be the best expression of the wonderful ingredients that we find right here on this Island. Weâve forged great relationships with some of Irelandâs best artisan producers and are proud to ca
This is the second time we've visited this restaurant. We had the wine and dine package which was excellent value. We opted for the fillet steak at an additional cost of â¬8 and it was very tender and cooked as we wanted. Our only criticism was the chocolate fondant which was overcooked and more like a cake than a molten chocolate dessert. Overall very good.

havent been to this pub since it has been renovated but the transformation is amazing, so much bigger, brighter and really nice decor. It was extremely busy when we were there but staff coped extremely well although there was a long wait for food which was understandable. Wings were amazing and a really good sized portion, all our group were impressed with portion sizes and found it hard to finish our mains, I had a beef sizzler which was very tasty would definitely recommend

Joels is the ultimate family restaurant. Conveniently located on the Naas road with plenty of free parking. Joelâs menu is full of mouth-watering dishes to suit everyoneâs taste. We offer a full bar and wine menu along with specialty coffees.
I had the pleasure of dining in Joel's restaurant yesterday. We were made very welcome by the general manager and reception staff. We had a table booked and were seated immediately, there were six of us. One of the things I like about Joel's is that everyones food arrives at the same time. Food was cooked to perfection and the dessert are to die for.

We came across Bistro 5 looking for a place to have a Saturday morning coffee. Being so used to checking everything from hotels to coffee shops on Tripadvisor, but having not had a chance to do so with Bistro 5, we reckoned it was a safe bet, as we just wanted a coffee with a treat. We couldn't have been more wrong.... Although we were swiftly shown to a table by a friendly staff member, it was ten minutes later that we were eventually provided with menus. After placing a very straightforward order of two coffees and a scone, we were left waiting for twenty minutes (!!!!) before a staff member arrived to our table with a tray with tea for two and two scones. We pointed out it was a wrong order and once again repeated ours, and were left waiting for further ten minutes before our order did arrive, in parts, first coffees, then milk, then a scone. My latte was ok, my husband didn't like his Americano at all. But the scone was an absolute culinary crime! It was just terrible, plain and simple. We both love scones, and have tasted better and worse. But this one was the worst we have ever come across. Rather than being crumbly and soft, it was rubbery and tasted like raw dough, one that is hard to chew, difficult to swallow and probably impossible to fully digest. Four hours later, I still felt it like a lump of play dough in my stomach. I am not insisting on home made scones, although most respectable coffee shops offer nothing less, and I have no idea where this one came from. More importantly-why and how did it find its way into Bistro 5 ? Has any staff members tasted it before selling it to customers for 2 odd euro? I don't think so. Now to service....It was friendly, no denying, and staff members looked presentable and nice. But the speed of it was atrocious... It took half an hour and two attempts to deliver our order which didn't have to be cooked. Customers at other tables around us got their breakfasts, sandwiches, meals way before we got our coffees. I think the kitchen knows what they are doing, as any dishes we saw looked well presented and professional, however, the front of the restaurant in charge of coffee, tea and treats was a serious disappointment. Our waiter apologised profusely for the delay, and it was clear he felt uneasy about such terribly slow service, which we assured him wasn't his fault. Not sure whose fault it was, but it really was inexcusable. At home I looked up reviews and wasn't surprised to see that loads of customers had had the same problem in Bistro 5. However it is surpising that the owner/manager did nothing to improve this very important aspect of their operation. Had our first visit gone differently, we would have gone back to try out dishes on the menu which looks quite interesting and varied. Regrettably, as it was, Bistro 5 provided a negative first impression and left no desire to ever set foot in it again.

The restaurant is attractively laid out over several floors. We were seated in a lovely room at the top floor. The staff obviously take pride in the excellent service they deliver . An interesting menu was offered and what we ordered was beautifully presented . I had perfectly cooked monkfish. The accompanying mash was nice but not outstanding and an additional vegetable would have been welcome. The overall ambiance is relaxing and thereâs a palpable sense of hospitality. Would happily return if in the area again.
