Founded by the Vikings in the ninth century, Arklow was the site of one of the bloodiest battles of the 1798 rebellion. We've been a few times and it's always packed, so get there before 1pm if you can (it closes at 4pm). Breakfast is excellent, as are any of the dishes. Lovely, helpful and friendly staff, who are certainly kept on their toes! Congrats to everyone. A lovely place to eat and a great choice of dishes. ENJOY!

Christy's Arklow comprises of a large ground floor lounge, bar & restaurant, with an impressive outdoor terrace opening out onto the Avoca River.
Lovely spot, highly recommended. We had 4 kids Turkey dinners, 2 massive burgers and chips, jug of blackcurrant, 2 cokes and we ate every bit! Delicious food, friendly staff. Would definitely go back. Free ice cream and free choc cake for our daughter whose 8th birthday it was. Altogether â¬60. Fabulous!
