Never had this kind of food before but decided to give it a try. Visited midweek at lunchtime and they were busy but very efficient. Had roasted red pepper soup that was spectacular! Dh had a wrap with chicken and all the fixings. Was also delicious! Would visit again! The restaurant is very small but it was a nice day so we got takeaway and ate in the park!

As I was staying in a part of Dublin I wasn't familiar with, I walked up and down peering into each pub and restaurant and eventually decided on this one. I was pleasantly surprised when I went inside. Unlike other such places, this one is steeped in history, not only from the history of the pub itself but of many things therein with historic connections elsewhere. Such as a staircase which used to be in Trinity University in Dublin and many original Guinness advertisements from way back. The food and drink were excellent as were the staff. Whilst I was there, a large group of American tourists were also present. Luckily for me, one of the staff gave them a very interesting talk which I listened into for free. He then invited them to go wherever they wanted, even behind the bar, for photo opportunities.I will definitely go again when I am in that part of town.

This place is absolutely perfect. Good prices, great food. Top marks. I enjoyed sitting down for a bottle of wine with my girlfriend. Only €5 corkage. Everything comes in perfect sized boxes. Good portions. All dishes we have tried have been perfectly delicious. 6 of us ordered last night and everyone agreed top marks and again today. The left overs top marks. Its a pure gem of an establishment. My only complaint is they don't deliver late, so order early or miss out

Had an excellent lunch of Thai beef salad here recently. Packed full of beef, veggies, and tons of flavour and beautifully presented. This restaurant is excellent but lacks the touches of Camile in Artane which has jugs of water on tables and free ice cream cones for diners. I’ll definitely be back for that salad though. Hey Kateb1969,Thanks for giving us a positive mention. We really appreciate you taking the time to review us. We hope you drop by again soon for our Beef salad or maybe try one of our delicious curries!

Ok so I’m a little unsure after visiting this place as to what I really think off it.Welcomed in by a guy at the front who seated us fast and efficiently. My mouth watered at the sight off the delicious looking vegan treats spread across the counter. The vibe was urban and fun, the menu was creative. For the food I had the smoothie bowl which was quite small for the price when it arrived although it was packed with colour, nutrients and flavour... 4/5My friends had the daily soup special which I don’t remember the flavour as I didn’t try it but she said it was delish. My other friend had the slow cooked duck toastie which originally I was going to order, maybe someday I’ll return and try it out. The downfall was a couple of members of staff were slightly rude at some points of their service and seemed disinterested in being there. Also the bathroom was very messy.

Stopped for a lunch and I went for Fish & Chips. It’s one of my favourite dishes so I was very confident that I was in for a treat with Wrights Anglers Rest. When the dish arrived I was still pretty confident. The beer batter looked nice and crunchy. Unfortunately when I cut into it I realised that the end piece had a very thin layer of very dry, stringy fish. I was still hopeful that this was possibly just the end piece and I would find better as I moved along the fillet. Not so, the entire piece of fish was a uniform thickness or probably I should say thinness. It was about 5mm thick and seemed to come from the belly flank of a large Cod or Hake (I couldn’t be sure of the species). It tasted like a poorly rehydrated salted or dried stockfish. It came with an oyster shell portion of tartar sauce, crushed peas and a portion of chips all got €17.95. I was in a rush so I went ahead and ate what was edible. I mentioned my disappointment to the waitress and she was polite and apologetic and offered a coffee on the house.I hope the chef and whoever is responsible for purchasing take note, and have another look at the quality of the ingredients or perhaps the use of this product in a Fish & chips dish.Firstly thank you for your comments & please accept my sincere apologies that your meal was disappointing. As one of Dublins business restaurants we have relied on repeat customers along with recommendation to grow our business so successfully as we are off the beaten track. I can assure you that this is not the norm & Im sorry you didn't bring it to the attention of one of our staff members straight away so we could have replaced the dish for you. As part of the Wright group we pride ourselves in being able to offer our customers some of the very best seafood available. I have passed your comments on to our head chef & general manager to look into. Thank you once again for your feedback & I do hope that you will visit us again so that we can prove your experience is not the norm. Id love if you contact me directly if you choose to visit us again. Kind Regards, Jennie Grogan, [email protected]
