When asked about a recommended dish, we were offered a strip line steak 400gr with potatoes and light Italian beers. The waiter was very funny. Overall, this was a super end for my long day...

I love seafood so my husband booked us in here. I think I might have died and gone to heaven. Classy decor. As well as a fabulous a la carte menu as we were early there was also a pre 18:30 menu which we chose from, but both looked superb. Such quality service too. We were warmly welcomed when we arrived and waiter was so attentive. A big thank you to our sommelier Victor for making us feel so at home. The Gewürztraminer was truly lovely!Faultless food, beautifully cooked and presented. Well worth every cent. Dear Cathy,Thank you so much for your five-star review and for taking the time to share your recent experience of SOLE with usThank you so much for your kind words regarding our service. The team works very hard to ensure each of our guests feel looked after and have a memorable experience. I am so glad to hear you enjoyed our wine! Fish Shack Cafe

Great casual seafood restaurant where Crab and Lobster is our thing. So, roll up those selves, tuck in and enjoy fab Irish seafood as it should be....

We had lunch at the fish shack, the service was quick, but the food was not good. We had the platter for two and a half dozen oysters. The oysters weren't cleaned or shucked properly, so we are what we could with forks and left the rest, because there was barnacle residue. The cajun prawns were over cooked also. The manager took the oysters off our bill and said she had a new book, but that he was very good. There is no way a "very good" cook in a seafood restaurant can't cook or shuck oysters. I guess that is why the restaurant was empty - Dubliners know better!

The Boxty House

Our restaurant has been at the beating heart of a dynamic, contemporary community for over 25 years. Our customers experience a genuine taste of modern Ireland, full of eclectic talking points and the warmth of that country kitchen down the west. Today, o

Local hotel recommended Boxty for great fish and chips on our first night in Dublin and it truly was the best and really set the bar high for all others meals in Dublin. Fish was crunchy, not greasy, fresh and hot. Chips were fat and full of potato. Pea mash was a great side dish. Hubby had lamb stew and he is still raving about it days later. Great, friendly service, too. Host warmly welcomed everyone coming in. Our server was great and didn’t rush us. Overall, a great kick start to an awesome stay in an amazing city. Dublin, we love your accents! Hello Cindy C,We are grateful for your review. We are beaming with pride knowing that we hit the mark and delivered on everything that we promised and we hope to welcome you again soon!Kind regards,The Boxty House
