We had shared starters 2 between 3 of us - they were good size portions, and the main course had curry and burgers they were also good-sized portions. I ended up stuffed as I couldn't resist eating all the curry. The lights got dimmer as the evening went on but a bit too dim as couldn't see what I was eating.Thank you for your review, we are glad you enjoyed your meal. We have fitted new lights in your front bar today, hopefully the lighting will be better on your next visit.

Walking through Kells, we asked a native to recommend a place to eat. The Bective was the suggestion. Great choice. Great food, Great beer. And fabulous service. We had landed from USA and we wanted good authentic food. It was the perfect choice.Thank you for your positive review. The food was superb. My daughter is vegan and the vegan dinner she ordered looked good to even this old carnivore. I had the duck. It was absolutely wonderful but my ordering it did lead to a painful and swift kick in my shin by one certain vegan daughter whose initials are Paad. Subtle is not to be found in that girl. But my duck had more than enough subtle flavors to please my palate.
