This was a joy to visit and seemed popular with locals. The menu is eclectic and broad, but not in the 'everything out of the freezer, delivered from food service' way. The Thai options were very nice and we all enjoyed our food. The atmosphere is very nice and the staff are very helpful and welcoming. Definitely to be recommended.

13 American visitors on a bus trip to Ireland. Went to this restaurant on a busy Sunday evening and had a wonderful experience. Staff were excellent and helpful and explained everything to each of my friends. Food was excellent and the service was superb. Beer was enjoyed by all and I certainly will be returning to enjoy the experience again.

Thirst quenching cocktails married with a medley of live music and the intention to delight, we will inspire great atmosphere and give you a unique experience!
We arrived early for our meal and decided to try a few cocktails. Their cocktails menu was quite extensive and between us we enjoyed 5 different cocktails, all of which were served in different types of glasses and all fabulous. We asked for menus for Donatelloâs which is now downstairs and weâre able to decide on our meals whilst enjoying the drinks. When we went down to the restaurant, we were immediately shown to our table, which was at the very front beside the window. Throughout the meal our servers were very attentive and helpful. The food was served in good time and was absolutely fabulous. The restaurant was busy but service was still brilliant. Weâll definitively want another meal in Donatelloâs.

We stopped off for an early dinner on a week night. It was packed which was a great sign. Both of us had a lovely tasty dinner with very attentive service. The most impressive bit was when I left my jacket behind in restaurant and I rang them that night they had found it and offered to send it to me. What surprised me was they sent it in post and refused to take any payment for postage which I didn't expect. Not often you see this kindness!! Paul and Louisa thank you this was much appreciated.Hello CABIrl,Thank you for the time you took to review us. We are glad that you enjoyed the experience you had on your recent visit and we hope to welcome you back soon!Kind regards,Avenue Cafe and Restaurant

Seated straight away and our waitress was prompt and curtious. Arrived for a late breakfast/early lunch just before 12 so ordered the Club sandwich with soup and my daughter ordered the Turkey, cranberry and stuffing sandwich with soup also. Both sanwiches were served on lovely fresh brown bread with plenty of ingredients and were so delicious and the carrot and coriander soup was gorgeous. Looking forward to returning.
