The terrace is overlooking Gallipoliâs beach and the view is breathtaking. Good friendly service. Short menu indicates fresh produce and fish. We recommend the raw gamberoni viola and the revised parmigiana di melanzane. Perfect lunch spot and I am sure dinner is just as good. I recommend it and will return. CIAO

Under the sun we walk around the street near the sea and Amu is the best location on the seaside with seafood options. We liked the hospitality, and smiling faces of the gentlemen. They helped us to choose our courses. The taste of the gambarini is very beatiful and tasty. We ordered our rose wine which is also very beatiful. I find myself lucky to have my lunch here!

Le Garibaldine is a simple, very nice little restaurant in the hearth of Gallipoli! We had a tasty small lunch with fish apetizers - very fresh and nicely cooked. The staff is really friendly. The theme of the restaurant is about female heroines helping out the Garibaldi movement in the 19th century: refreshing message!

Worst meal of the holiday! Firstly ordered the spicy mussels - far too salty and there was no spice! The waiter explained that many people dont like spice, wrong description on the menu then. The waiter showed me the fish of the day and it looked so tiny so I ordered two. Thankfully I ordered a side of fries which were good. The pasta wasn't bad but the fish was awful, totally tasteless and full of bones and nothing else. The ridiculous cover charge of 6 euros for a few pieces of dry bread resulted in no tip being left. Could not recommend this restaurant.

What can I say, a disappointing evening. Let's start with the good points, the location of the restaurant is beautiful we sat on a table outside and that was really lovely. Unfortunately the food was not so good, caprese salad to start was fine tomatoes lacked a little flavour but the mozzarella was very nice. My main dish however was not great, flavour wise it was nice but the sauce was cold, my pasta was only just warm and 3 out of 5 of the mussels was barely open. When the waiter came to clear our table, he abruptly took the plates without evening asking how our meal was. We will not be returning!!!buona sera, ci dispiace del suo giudizio. ma quello che mi ha detto ieri sera diciamo che non coincide con la sua recensione di oggi. la caprese è un piatto molto semplice pomodoro e mozzarella noi lo condiamo gia ma ogni avventore ha i suoi gusti e quindi non può essere molto condita ma i condimenti sono sul tavolo pronti ad essere utilizzati.passiamo ai primi piatti.... nessuno di voi ha avuto da ridire su nessuno dei primi piatti per quanto riguarda la qualità (che le cozze 3 su 5 erano un pò più chiuse ancora non capisco cosa significhi, ma sicuramente spesso le cose vengono scritte tanto per) l'unica cosa su cui avete avuto da ridire è stata la quantità (120g di pasta per piatto) e gentilmente vi è stato spiegato che le porzioni sono proporzionate per permettere di mangiare antipasto e primo o primo e secondo (e già sono più abbondanti di quanto dovrebbero); ma prendere una caprese divisa per 5 persone e poi un primo a testa di certo se si ha fame non è cosi che viene colmata. vi è stato chiesto di aggiungere un secondo piatto, cosa che non avete fatto, forse perchè le vostre richieste servivano giusto per lamentarsi e non veritiere come apprendo anche oggi dalla vostra recensione che non riporta nulla che realmente è accaduto.quindi la mia domanda sorge spontanea..... il problema qual'è stato???? a volte le persone si lamentano cercando cosi' di ottenere ciò che vogliono.... cosa avremmo dovuto fare mandare a tavola gratuitamente dei piatti di pasta centrali??? ed io sono sicura che in quel caso non staremmo qui a parlare.... noi lavoriamo tutti i giorni tutto il giorno cercando di accontentare l'avventore ma ci sono dei limiti che non devono essere superati da entrambi i lati. non possiamo farvi delle porzioni di parta da 250g, in quanto, ogni attività ha numerosi costi e quelle del centro storico ancor di più... allora io la pasta avrei anche potuto farvela fare ma non sarebbe stato giusto come non lo sarebbe stato se vi avessi messo sul conto i calici di vino che avete distrutto quella sera. anche se son sicura che la mia risposta non sarà serviva a nulla ci tenevo a far notare la cosa da un altro punto di vista.

At the arriving the waiter described for us that the restaurant was a wine bar with sophisticated kitchen and finer food.We got surprise to see on the menu canguroo, well not a Salento product, so we wondered why?We decided to order an Hamburger, really badly prepared and poorly served.Deep frozen, precooked meat, Angus Beef they said. Served with only French fries, no buns, no sallad, not even a slice of tomato or any dressing at all. I suggest the management to have a look on Google how a hamburger should look like.Broad beans pure with squid was ok, too pricy for that small amount of squid. 14 Euros, being a starter. The wine list was ok, nice wines, but unfortunately hard to pair to any food. Another suggestion is to remove all the plastic plants, it look sad and it gives a cheap atmosphere. Sophisticated is not the right term to describe this restaurant. We gave One star because the waiter been polite and professional, even though was like his first day at work.Otherwise 0Dalà Louboutin Dear Customer, reading your review according to my opinion, you have the wrong place to come and eat, however the Hamburger in question has been inserted only for children, we are not a sandwich shop, we do not serve sandwiches with salads and tomatoes, we have cuts of prized meats, including the Canguro and Salentino, we have the Martina Franca bomblets and horse in pieces. The mashed beans and squid has a price of 12.00 euros not 14.00 euros.I am 30 years old, I do catering and my kitchen is sought after with high quality products and I don't think I need to take a look at Google for a hamburger, I advise her having seen her YOUNG AGE, to read the reviews and evaluate whether to choose, an Enoteca with Osteria or a PUB.Emanuele the Owner and Chef

When you are staying in Gallipoli then definitely plan one evening for this great restaurant. We were going two consecutive days because the food was so fantastic. We had the tuna as a starter and main dish as well as the pasta and the cartoccio del perscatore. Everything was just perfect and the service exceptional!

"YOU - Food and Pleasure", a new place where refinement, taste and elegance await you to capture the essence of a dish designed for you
Booked due to the good TA reviews but can only be described as a disappointment.Interior is odd- combination of modern with old.Had the seafood gnocchi with clams, prawn (1 only) and orecchiette with tuna- both average. The grilled sepia came cold likely due to having only one person servicing, taking food and drink orders as well as greeting customers.Service was slow!Panna cotta with coffee was ok- could be more runny. They took off the sepia from the bill but was a lack lustre affair.

We had dinner with some friends. The chef suggested a variety of dishes and wines, so we followed his advice. Nothing was a better choice: the food was outstandingly good, dishes we never tasted before. Local wines, a pleasure to enjoy! Danilo, the chef, was presenting the menu himself: this is a dinner to remember!!

Dinner with 4 friends. Grilled prawns (â¬18) were served charred, sent back twice and were re-served scraped off and served cold. Not cooked properly. Staff did not know how to handle this properly, in addition: chips were only served after reminding staff and arrived half way through the meal, fried unevenly. Nice ambiance but quality food of food is not what may be a expected.
