Imagine a world class restaurant such as Bocuse in Lyon or Ducasse in Paris and you have Chef Ippazio's restaurant Lemi in the ancient town of Tricase in Italy's SE heel, Salento near Greece. Ippazio exploits the bounty of fresh and local seafood and vegetables to make magic. Worth a trip. Great regional wine list, too.

Although at first glance it is a casual shack on the side of the seaside road, look deeper: this is a very professional and sophisticated operation. Staff in matching nautical striped T-shirts, tables and chairs in that mismatched-but-perfect range of blues, curated rustic antiques in set up in military order, instagram-ready fish display. Accordingly, each dish was not just delicious but beautifully presented. The Taverna is a partnership between a fishing firm and experienced restauranteurs, and thus the best catch of the day is assured. I had the fabulous octopus with potato cream, and then a decadent dessert drenched in local San Marzano liqueur (which we then sipped from a glass as a diigestif). And after it all, we crossed the road and melted into those sweet striped beach chairs, and stared at the sea until it was time to move on. Reservations are suggested - we called ahead form the road - the place was completely full for lunch and closes when lunch is finished.

Family-run restaurant with a fresh fish based menu. The restaurant offer a standing view on the Adriatic sea, a confortable parking and a garden around the restaurant. Open air tables are availables Dinner available by booking
Wonderfully fresh lunch on the outdoor patio in the sun. The raw seafood starter with octopus, salmon, whitefish, etc. was fresh and delicious. The primitivo pasta with monkfish rocked. The calamarata pasta with shrimp and trumpet mushroom (without vongole )was slightly sweet and ok. The grilled monkfish and fresh rape rocked! Dive into the yummy olive bread and red wine options. The waitress swapped out the sweet Rosato for a drier red. We passed on dessert and enjoyed the homemade blueberry amaro. Relaxing service and delightful location. A local told us the 80EURO tab was expensive, but we would return for the ambience and food and service.

We've eaten here two times, both at lunch. Although called self-service, the food you choose at the counter/buffet is served by the assistants. We found the food pretty good especially the greens and the polpettone with eggplant. Seafood risotto was ok and abundant but would have preferred less quantity but better rice quality, eg. Carnaroli or Vialone nano. They offer to re-heat some dishes at the microwave which we think is not healthy (we would rather have lukewarm food). Both times we had a small bottle of wine but only the first time were offered proper glasses, meaning we had to drink the wine from a plastic glass, like at an outdoor picnic. The setting is very basic without tablecloth of any kind and the venue was cold, not heated at all. Prices are honest.

A small restaurant on the corner of the main street of Tiggiano, a small town about 13km north of Leuca. The dining room is spacious and cool and perfectly in style for this part of the world. From the antipasti to the spaghetti with seafood, through to the main course and dessert, you could not ask for more. An excellent selection of local wines at bargain prices. The seafood is as fresh as it gets. Prices are more than reasonable considering the quality you are offered. The service is rapid and friendly and I can't wait to return.

Located in the historic centre in a quiet street, the restaurant is easy to reach on foot from the main square; Piazza Cappuccinni. Chic Interiors are set off by the antiquated feel of the area. We dined 'al fresco'.. The waiter was friendly and he took the initiative to speak English. The tapas, bread and Greek salad were fine though we weren't sure what other vegetarian options there could be on the menu as there was a preset party menu prepared which wasn't vegetarian or vegan friendly, except for the fabulous Greek salad and trammezzinni with tomatoes. The ambience, in its entirety was pleasant.

From the moment your turn the corner and see Locanda Del Levante you know itâs going to be a beautiful experience. The interior is as lovely as the exterior. Service was good - staff were very accommodating to dietary requirements (in particular vegan options). All food was good however, while the dips were a lovely starter, they were quite over priced. I would recommend Locanda Del Levante for an architecturally inspiring dinner. Dear Emmajane thank you so much for your review, we are glad that you enjoyed our restaurant and we hope to meet you again at our tables. Prices of the dishes are due to the high quality of ingredients that we use at Locanda del Levante, all fresh and cooked at the moment!

"Il Castello di Momo" is a tipical restaurant in the heart of Salento, an amazing experience to enjoy. Our restaurant is located in Capece family's baronial court (1400) where you can breathe the magic atmosphere of history. Our food is a mix of genuine a
Food was perfect, The first restaurant in Italy where the service is actually good. The main waiters spoke English and translated the menu to English which was very nice. The servers were kind. Overall I would say in terms of service this is one of the best places in Salento. The food, especially antipasto for 2 was amazing.

Organic farm with a small stone mill. Offers fixed-menu meals based on vegetables and cereals grown on site and local product. Educational farm of "Regione Puglia", hosts activities for children and adults thanks to the presence of a family of friendly do
We have been several times with friends and children, organic food comes from their crops, Carlo introduces the dishes served at the beginning of each dinner, explains the origin and the work done by him and Irene, his girlfriend, and a group of friends who work on the farm. The traditional dishes of Salento are excellent and genuine flavor and intense. The wine is organic and of excellent quality. During the week they have different educational programs for children, our grand daughter has followed a course of archeology. A place to follow them carefully if you make a holiday in Salento.Dear friend, your description of the farm is simply beautiful! We appreciate your words because they show you got the meaning of our work and this is the most important thing for us. We are happy to be in touch with people like you and your family, as we always say: you are the reason of our existence! So thank you and see you soon in the Masseria!

Typical italian restaurant - south italy (Salento)
The restaurant in a small town of Spongano has outside seating in the piazza in summer, where you can see the locals gather at night and the locals can watch the tourists. The menu is both in English and Italian, and the food was average for the price we paid. Pros - quick service and English menu with local food. Cons - plastic chairs with paper tablecloth, peppers and salt in paper bags, we did not always get the dish we ordered. If you like a fine dining experience, this place is not for you.Hi and thanks for your review. We are a trattoria not a fine dining. Here you Can have an homemade and handcraft experience and making you feel at home without any kind of bling bling. We use paper table cloth and plastic chairs because we have to set the Place up before the service and breaking it down at the end. We are really Sorry if we did not live up your expectations. Thanks for your advice indeed. We Will try to improve
