Arrived in Chilecito for an overnight, looked up TripAdvisor for a restaurant, and found this "restaurant"; we did not want another "grilled meats" place. We were not disappointed! The owner of the house opens it to guests: the restaurant is in the living room, with several tables, a huge fireplace, and amazing decoration all over like a treasure trove! The owner is also the cook, and the waiter, and the entertainer! We laughed, and gorged ourselves on delicious appetizers (olives, liver pate, toast), then on fabulous raviolis and a roll like a meatloaf though one like none other! And a bottle of wine then a couple of after-dinner drinks, and a cup of tea. And... everything had been homemade, including the wine, and the bread! Even the tea - the owner had collected a thistle branch, and made the tea with it. We left oh so full, and oh so happy for the amazing experience! Soooo good, and soooo fun! Go for it!

With many outdoor chairs set up in the square opposite the restaurant it is great for people watching and just enjoying a drink. We had the special of the day, sandwich lomo, and was filling and good value. The next nights meal missed the mark a bit however. The staff are great during the day but not so at night. I recommend you go here for lunch!

We stopped for an impronto lunch on our way and are so glad we did. We loved the parilla. The food the "onda" and the service were excellent. I had delicous meat asado and my partner (vegetarian) salad and fries. Everything perfect for a quick lunch, including the price! Nice selection of regional wines too.

We arrived after having cycled a lot: tired and hungry. Here we were received with open arms and with wonderfull food in a very cosy and warm athmosfere. We imediately felt at home.

Good value parrilla but the steak was not the best we have had so far. Decent value and good portion sizes, we shared a Bife de Chorizo and salad. Good olive oil and bread but a bit of a walk out of town.
