My family and I visited our extended family in Ofena and hosted a dinner party here. The ambience and decor were incredible and every course of our 7 course dinner was incredible. From the antipasit to the pasta and meat courses, each one was better than the last. The wine, food, friends and decor added up to our best night in Italy after a two week excursion to Europe! Search this location out and enjoy an incredible night and dinner!!

My first time experience eating wild boar, or cinghiale, was a taste sensation I was not expecting. The dinner started with the house antipasti, a wonderful combination of house prepared meats combine with a variety of cheeses garnished with tartufo. The wild boar that followed was incredibly tender and was an explosion of flavour that is indescribable. If you happen to be in the area I suggest you search out this restaurant for a terrific dining experience.

We came back to the restaurant we visited 4 years ago and the quality, service and food was just as appealing as it was then. As being English we eat earlier than Italian but having the restaurant to ourselves and sitting outside didnât change the atmosphere. I would highly recommend a visit. We shall be back again next time.

The Pizzeria "Al Faraone" adopts a rather innovative style, we are constantly in search of the typical products of our land, mixing: tradition, quality and originality with the latest culinary techniques. Our greatest satisfaction is to make unique and or

This was one of the best meals we've had in Italy. Local food. Starting with the charcuterie. Deer, pig, duck (the best!). Wow. Cheese. Fabulous. Many extras. If you are anywhere near this place, you have to eat here.I couldn't tell you all that we had. Antipasti. Some peconino amuse bouche that was to die for. Lentils. Some local dish made with pig liver, heart, etc. Crazy good. Primi of cinghiale (wow!). Guanciale. We were so full after i primi that we stopped. Roll us home. The dessert menu looked good, but i didn't have any room. Bill was so reasonable. Reasonable on its own. Relative to the quality of the food and the service (very attentive) and the atmosphere (i want to quit my job and move here so i can eat here all of the time). It will be a long time (if ever) that we forget this meal.Thank you very much for your review!! We are very happy that the meal was good and tipical for you. We hope that will be another opportunity to visit Paneolio...(We have also rooms for rent! :))Greetings to all the family.

The guide "Il Mangiarozzo" claims this trattoria is n.5 out of the ten best in Italy. So...after booking a table for 2 we drove 150km to try it out for lunch. Arrived at 1pm sharp, place was totally empty, the welcome was a bit cold or let's say indifferent...sat down and we were given one menu for two people and wine list. Bad start. No bread was served, the house wine arrived (good) the two pastas, one with zaffron, ricotta and bacon (light taste but a bit stuffy - too much ricotta) the other was a short pasta white Amatriciana (very good home made pasta, great oil but bacon tooooo salty). The meats were good quality but average...did not have deserts. How can this be n.5 in Italy? Maybe, we always say that: It was the wrong day. By 2pm the place was full, which is good. The good side is that the check was very honest (41 Euros for 2).They serve pizza. Nice private parking but not worth 300km round trip. Too bad.

The restaurant is housed in a stone building at the end of XX and can accommodate up to 60 people; in summer, there is a rooftop terrace with views of the mountains. The kitchen prefers the authentic products of the territory, however, presented in an ori
Great dinner at La Locanda di Mariella. Traditional Italian meal -- antipasto, primi, secondi, dolci, caffe, digistivo. Each course was squisito.Antipasto -- meat and cheese. The charcuterie was the best. The cheese was sheep dominated, and very good. Between antipasto and primi -- they first brought us a farro amuse bouche the farro like polenta, with a truffle topping -- very, very good. And then they brought us some liver pate' which was also very good.Primi -- we had the chitarra, the gnocchi, and the ravioli. All really good. My chitarra sauce was a mixture of red peppers and zucchini -- very fresh, very local, very good.Secondi -- the manzo. had these dehydrated onions on top, great crispness and flavor. For dessert, we had all of the desserts available -- biscotti, ice cream, plum tart, and semi-freddo. All very good.Highly recommend this place if you are in the area.

Consigliato.
