We ordered the trofie al pesto dish which was lacking in flavour and drowned in olive oil (even a healthy dose of parmesan could not save it) and the mussels which were a bit better. Apparently the pizzas are better and perhaps that is what we should have ordered instead.

We normally only visit Taggia in the winter months, so we weren't aware that this restaurant had outside seating in the summer which made for a very pleasant atmosphere in the old town.Service was very good from friendly waiting staff, with our waiter speaking quite good English. We had a mixture of dishes including pasta, pizzas and fritto misto and they were all excellent, as was the creme brulee which the waiter said he would use the blowtorch himself to ensure it was crunchy on top and indeed it was.No idea of the overall cost as our friends paid, but the prices on the menu looked reasonable for the quality of the food and the setting. The menu (apart from pizzas) was quite small which I always think is a good thing, but there were some delicious dishes of the day on offer. Altogether an excellent evening and we'll be going back.

The restaurant is pleasantly located close to the beach front in San Lorenzo. Mercifully, the huge blocks of holiday flats are invisible from the small piazza, where the restaurant is located. Seats are offered inside and outside, booking tables is recommended. The food is priced slightly above average, but considering the quality of the establishment's cuisine they are still fair. What we found amiss was the staff's attitude to their job; service with a smile has yet to discovered by the young people working here. We were shown to our table with a mere gesture, which looked more like a command than an invitation. Cutlery was dropped on our table without a word, dishes were served without even a look at us. It is a pity that a restaurant whose location and food might easily be awarded more points has to suffer the drawback of unfriendly service staff. It is hard to iamgien that everybody was labouring from such stress that visible esteem for guests had to be dropped overboard.

At few meters from the sea, a tipical ligurian restaurant. In this restaurant you can find tipical and caracteristic dishes but also revisited plates. In the winery you can discover wines from all Italy.
We drove down the wrong street in search of another restaurant in town and happened to stop in front of this one. We were able to get a good glance inside and decided to park the car and return to read the menu. The selections looked fine and the prices seemed reasonable. The owner greeted us as we entered and mentioned that they were not yet open for another 30 minutes. The great aroma as we walked in was the deciding factor for us. The chef/owner took care of us himself and helped select starters, and then a pasta and fish dish along with a local wine. We were so wonderfully pleased with his own creations and thoroughly enjoyed the other courses as well as the wine. Excellent quality, great ambiance, and reasonable prices along with very nice service. What more could one desire????

Historic restaurant recently renovated. The restaurant Lanterna Blu offers tasting menu. A table reservation is obligatory, so you need to book in advance. No credit card payments accepted.
Visited with my family and had high expectations given the many positive reviews. The experience was however less than the sum of its parts. Whilst there was little wrong with the food it was nothing special. A set menu of fried calamari to start cheese with anchovies and tuna tartar for middle and a huge plate of pasta with a small half of lobster for main isn't fine dining or anything out of the norm. It was all done at a bit of a rush also, we were in and out in an hour and 15 mins. Not one to repeat. At my question if you all had any food allergies or intollerances, you answer with a noisy spamming in your belly: " look at me: do I look like?" This is also neither fine introducing nor very special. Looking at your reviews, you are certainly a good story teller, but little liar too... The lobster looked smaller because, as from your personal " introduction" and the whole family-sizes decided to cook Little pasta more. Restaurant was fullybooked, and if you were server in high season in one hour and half, I consider this a great goal and service. Have a good Life, you need It. Massimo

We have dined at Amelia's now on several occassions. There is a comprehensive menu and the quality and standard of the food is very high. The restaurant is run by Amelia & her son,Alessio, who both provide a very relaxed and friendly atmosphere. We visit everytime we are in or around Imperia and have no hesitation in thoroughly recommending them.

Specialita' cozze , spaghetti frutti di mare, spaghetti allo scoglio e piu di 40 varieta' di sughi
A clean unpretentious local eatery which serves a great selection of pasta. Worth checking out, not as fancy as some of the others with outdoor seating, but the welcome is genuine and food generous and good. We had the spaghetti vongoli -the clams were sweet and fresh & a putenesca with a bottle of House wine and weâre content! The lady of the house will do her best to make this a memorable drop in!

Finding excellent food at reasonable prices in delightful settings is a rarity on both the French and Italian Rivieras. At 'Le Cinque Torri' you have all three with a friendly, natural service to boot.Located in Civezza, a charming Ligurian village just north of San Lorenzo al Mare, this family-run restaurant offers homemade cooking with unbeatable value for money. Even the ice-cream is homemade. The wine is very reasonably priced and the house wine is quite quaffable. If you happen to be passing through this part of the Italian Riviera 'Le Cinqe Torri' is well worth a halt.

Popped in for a late lunch whilst en route to the Italian Lakes. The restaurant had just finished its main lunch service, but we were nevertheless welcomed by the very friendly staff. Excellent pasta and an outstanding veggie lasagne. Well worth a quick diversion off the motorway!

It seems that Da U Titti has no Michelin star simply because Michelin experts donât go too far from main roads. The cuisine is fantastic. The incredible mixture of tastes. Gazpacho with octopuses. Perfect foie gras. Surprising desserts. Great wine list. Breathtaking moonrise view from the terrace. Reasonable prices for such a place. Last, but not least, the great service. #1 in my personal rating for 2016.
