We were guests of an Italian and amazed to have a spectacular meal in a little spot, tucked away in a side street. Pizza for the children and wonder spicy pasta, fish filled ravioli, and grilled lamb. The desserts were terrific. A huge success. Not sure about outdoor seating as it was dark when we arrived, and a cold night.

As usual I stop there when I'm driving on the SS28 route! Now the restaurant has been refreshed. New spaces same good food.

One of the best pizzas I've had in Italy. In Italy most of the restaurants cook the pizzas in a wood oven which is great but sometimes the pizza is burnt on the top and less cooked in the middle. The forgia pizza was cooked all the way through and I can tell they use semolina flour so it comes out crispy. Awesome! I ordered the carpaccio pizza with truffle oil. So delicious. The appetizers looked really good too but I got a nice fresh salad and a small bottle of local white wine called Arneis which is similiar to a Chardonnay. Panna cotta with blueberries for desert which the lady said she made herself. You can't go wrong at this place but there isn't a lot of seating so you should probably make a reservation if you are a big group.

Very good food; very good service; very good views from the terrace. The choice for non-wheat eaters is limited but there is a tasty plate of various grilled meats which I enjoyed. It was very helpful that one of our group could speak Italian as the menu gave little information and the waitress did not speak any English. A very enjoyable meal. Highly recommended.

The difficulty to get there is highly compensated by the dishes served. It is a very uncommon mix from naples and ligurian cooking but.... phone before you go, you do not always find all the dishes. It is really worth while.

You need to book. We stayed the other side of the carpark and there always seemed to be something going on here, bands or birthdays, so a busy place. Pizzas are for 2 so a bit tricky if there are 3 of you! But fresh and tasty with quick service. Nice to stroll over the bridge to the village afterwards and the ducks, geese and fish will appreciate any pizza crusts or bread you couldn't manage to finish.

What this place might lack in atmosphere it makes up for in great pizzas and very friendly staff. We often come here when in the area as they really are very good and price is fantastic

It's small very simple and down to basics pizzaria in a very authentic manner. From the outside it's easy to miss as it blends well into the surrounding buildings. We visited this place during the summer and it was quite busy. We immediately got a seat, but had to wait a little for the food. We had pizzas all around. They were made in a real wood burning owen and quite rustic. The reception of the various pizzas we had was generally good, but if you love thin slices of parma ham etc. on you pizza the more chunky toppings might seem to rustic. Service was friendly enough and even with no italian skills we manage to order. It was an authentic expirience, but we didnt end our holiday search for the perfect pizza at Pizzeria del Maniscalco.
