Not an awful lot in Sabinanigo as a town but our hotel recommended the Pradas restaurant and it was very close by. 18 euros for 3 courses and a an extra starter including a bottle of wine and a bottle of still water. The food was excellent and even the wine was exceptional. Also the service was above average. Highly recommended

As you enter the reception area it all looks very upmarket, with great decor, huge plants in every corner, and welcoming staff. For early diners, there's a peaceful little reading room adjacent to the reception (round the corner from the sparklingly clean toilets). I also spotted a high chair for younger diners. Little did we know, however, that the entrance was to be the best aspect of our meal out.The first problem was that despite giving them advanced warning of a vegetarian diet, they clearly hadn't given it a second thought and had no special dishes to offer, just the usual "well perhaps you could have this one without the ham?" For a restaurant of this quality, one would expect a little more effort and imagination. I must say though that the head waiter did speak a little English, which helped a lot, plus they had menus in English. When they came, our starters were fine, except for the "vegetarian" salad which had two pieces of ham on top of it! ....and the fact that the request that the ham be replaced with an alternative, non-meaty component, had obviously fallen on deaf ears. The main courses arrived with cold vegetables, which had to be sent back, and the lamb was a bit chewy. Again, the vegetarian main course was a dish with the meat removed, with no alternative ingredient(s) and both veggie dishes were later charged at "meat included" full price. We felt that the main courses themselves, although tasty and pretty well presented (both lamb teepees had collapsed), completely lacked that "wow factor" we had been looking forward too.In line with the rest of our meals, the desserts were nice, but not memorable. For the price, we thought the portions were also on the small side. All in all, a nice relaxing meal out in pleasant surroundings but... too expensive, and definitely not in the same league as the other "top" restaurants in the area (which we have visited so am able to compare with).I'm afraid we won't be returning in the near future.
