Enjoyed pasta and pizza in this lively and family friendly restaurant. Just what we needed after a long day climbing ski slopes above Panticosa. Recommended red wine was excellent and chef's special pasta was simple (as good pasta should be) and very tasty with salty eel like fish. Home made tiramisu nice way to finish. We even picked up some walking tips and Spanish idioms! Great service! (Watch the card machine as it offered bill in £ sterling. First time in almost two weeks and I forgot to select eurosmy fault though - too much red wine)

We went to Casa Ferrer for lunch with family on a thursday in June. Were there at about 1 pm, when the lunch was getting started and more workmen from the area came to eat there as well. The very friendly lady did not have a menu in English, but there was one in Spanish and French and with her help the ordering was no problem. Lunch included starter, main, dessert, bread, water, wine. 3 courses, hearty and very tasty local food for only 13 â¬. I dont think I ever had better value for my money. The restaurant ambience was probably very typical Bar lunch combination with no frills, a little noisy at times and the surrounding maybe not the newest, but quite ok. The food was very good and tasty, the portion size big enough to feed even the working men. Service friendly even if we did not have a common language. My warmest recommendations!

It is tricky to find a restaurant open in this lovely village out of season, so we were very pleased to find this place open on a Monday evening in early June. It is near the car park at the lower end of village, next to the stream. And we got a warm welcome too, both from the helpful owner, and the open fire! Plenty of choice on the three course menu, 20 Euros with wine and water, and all very tasty. We had a nice chat after the meal with the owner about the Spanish 'digestivos' which he was keen to explain and offer me a sample, and we left full and happy.

We visited here each night as part of the deal with our hotel, whilst staying in Sallent de Gallego. We were greeted warmly each evening by the friendly owners who spoke excellent English but were happy to speak Spanish to our friend who is learning the language. The food is excellent and in fact it got better and better each night. It was cooked with care and served with great pride. The portions are large and there is a good selection. We looked forward to our meals each evening. We were looked after extremely well, and towards the end of our visit were given extra treats and special dishes. It was a nice touch that the owner came out of the kitchen to check that we were happy with our meals. If you're going to Sallent de Gallego be sure to visit this restaurant.

To cut to the chase, we would not return to Vidocq. Ever. Maybe if someone else were paying. Maybe. This is a hard review to write because of "overall ratings," as there was an unevenness in our experience. So here goes: The restaurant is lovely, the service, attentive and professional. In the bouillabaisse-style soup (main course), the fish was overcooked, but the flavors were delicious. We remember it as costing close to 20 Euro. (If it were half that, actually, we would return.) Our entrecote, despite ordering it medium, returned rare. After sending it back it was still redder than medium rare. But the worst was the cut: it had not been trimmed that we could discern: fat everywhere, through and around. It was chewy and inedible. We'd looked forward to this dinner, recommended to us by locals as the place to celebrate our twentieth wedding anniversary. Thank goodness for fine wine.

Family restaurant with a menu carefully. All dishes are prepared in a home. Meat is our specialty, from grass-fed cows. Delicious desserts made ââwith fresh milk and eggs from our chickens. Wide variety of dishes for celiacs. Perfect for couples and group
I just left the restaurant and I had to review their meal. Their 15⬠set menu including wine is really good. The staff is very friendly. I will be back for sure.

If you want a quiet place after skiing and recover your energy, this is a good restaurant. The service is quite normal and the place is small, but the food and the price are ok. I think is highly recommend for all kind of families.

You have a bit more choices than in most of altitude Spanish restaurant. The taste is better than average as well. Another reason to go if that if you take the good dishes, the small menu will be enough to get you full. Whoever you are. Also, the cider is available ad libitum, and tastes OK.

Greatly located in the heart of the Pirinees, with an easy acces, and no neighbours. There is nothing but peace arround. La Cabaña Grill & Chill its the perfect place for the mountain lovers. We work the grill with passion and we cook the best quality pro
Rang on the off chance they were open ... we are so glad we did. It was their first night open after their annual vacation and what great fun we had. We followed the waiter's recommendations for food and wine and had the most delightful food, the wine was incredible quality and value. But the whole evening was made so much better by our waiter - he was really a lot of fun. We hope to go back again ...
